Cabin Site Preparation

Prefab Cabin Delivery- Your Cabin will be delivered to your location fully assembled and ready for use. Most of our units can be delivered by pickup truck and trailer, although some of our bigger structures must be delivered by tractor trailer and need adequate room. Your driveway must be a stone base or free of all mud at time of delivery. Where your driveway is straight, we need an area approximately 2 feet wider than the width of the cabin and a clear 14 feet high above the cabin. All turns must be cleared to provide sufficient room tomaneuver.

Site Clearing -Your site must be clear of all trees, tree limbs, etc. within the access area. If your cabin is going on a crushed stone or concrete pad, your structure will be delivered with a special-built trailer similar to a rollback. The driver will back his truck onto the prepared pad, then tilt the trailer until the rear of the cabin or bunkie is resting on the pad. He will then drive out slowly from underneath. There must be adequate room in front of the cabin for the truck to pull straight out. This distance varies with the length of the building: approximately 85 feet to 150 feet; this will vary from one site to another.

Concrete Pad Foundation -Sites are prepared with 6” of concrete for the placement of the cabin. The concrete pad will be the same size as the structure you are ordering. We can do it for you or you can prepare the site yourself.

Crushed Stone Foundation- We can put the stone right on top of the existing dirt or lawn.Preparing your site includes bringing in stone (3/4” crushed stone). Then we level the stone out; the stone pad will be 1’ wider and 1’ longer (example a 12’x16’ barn would be 13’x17’.) For larger cabins, we will bring a loader in to level the stone. The stone will be 4” to 6” deep unless extra stone is required. Extra stone will require an additional charge. We are not responsible for any ruts or damage to the lawn when we bring stone in and drive across the lawn including delivering the building.
