How to find Zoom Rooms? ›

At the top of the Room Health tab, the number of overall Zoom Rooms, as well as the number of rooms with Critical or Warning level issues are displayed. Next to those statistics is the Search field, where you can search for Zoom Rooms using the name of the room.

Open the Zoom Rooms app on the Zoom Rooms Controller (Tablet, Laptop or Phone). The computer will display a pairing code.

Zoom Client is normally used on a laptop or desktop computer with either a built in webcam or external utilizing the audio built into the solution. With a Zoom Room the solution is based on a conference room solution that fits the needs based on the size of the room.

Run the Zoom Rooms controller in scheduling display mode and position the tablet outside of a conference room to display the room's availability and allow it to be reserved. The scheduling display will show all upcoming meetings for that day. You can also allow users to cancel their reservation.

If you are a basic (free) user, 40 minutes is the maximum duration your meetings can last. If you need to have meetings longer than 40 minutes, you can upgrade your account or the account owner or admin will need to assign you a license.

Locating the meeting ID during a meeting

To view the Meeting ID: Click Participants . At the bottom of the Participants panel, click Invite. An invitation pop-up will display the meeting ID and passcode.

You can pin or spotlight a video during a meeting. Pinning a screen allows you to disable active speaker view and watch a specific speaker. Pinning another user's video will only affect your local view in the Zoom Room, not the view of other participants, and it will not affect cloud recordings.

The host key is a 6-digit PIN used to claim host controls a meeting. You can edit or view your host key in your profile. This host key is applied to meetings you schedule.

If someone invites you to their meeting, you can join without creating or signing in to an account. However, a Zoom account allows you to create and host your own meetings, invite others to join your meetings, and update personal settings to get the most out of your Zoom virtual meeting experience.

Zoom Rooms can leverage a variety of display, compute, audio, camera, capture, room control and touch display controller devices to join and manage meetings with integrated HD audio and video.

Pair automatically

Open the Zoom desktop client and sign in to your account. In the top-right corner next to your profile picture, locate and click the Zoom Room pairing button . The desktop client will attempt to pair with nearby Zoom Rooms or available Personal Zoom Rooms.

It offers good audio and video quality. Cons: We occasionally have small performance issues when using Zoom rooms for extended periods of time, and there may be a delay in live meetings while screen sharing. Low bandwidth causes either the video or the audio to stop working properly.

To deploy a full Zoom Room, your account must include Zoom Room licenses or a free 30-day trial of Zoom Rooms. You can purchase Zoom Rooms licenses at Zoom Rooms or by Contacting Sales.

Protecting your data

Communications are established using TLS, and meeting, webinar and messaging content is encrypted using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), with optional end-to-end encryption.

You can also pair the Zoom desktop client with a nearby Zoom Room, to start or join meetings on the Zoom Room. Notes: The Zoom mobile app must be paired with the Zoom Room first, before being able to pass a meeting to the paired Zoom Room. Pairing is not available once the meeting is started or joined.

Navigate to www.zoom.us/pair and enter the pairing code. The Zoom for Home device will prompt you to confirm your sign in attempt. Tap Yes, It's Me. If you are performing the setup on your own, the process will complete automatically.
