Sure, you might already own platinum trophies for Doom and Doom 2 on PS5, but how about some newly combined Doom and Doom 2 trophies? The new Doom and Doom 2 PS5 and PS4 platinum trophy has been revealed alongside this recent Nightdive Studios remasters, and to our surprise, it might not get ranked among all the hard PS5 trophy lists!
Nightdive Doom and Doom 2 remasters get a shared platinum trophy
The new Nightdive Studios remasters of Doom and Doom 2 were revealed at QuakeCon 2024 and launched for PS5 and PS4 on the same day: Thursday, August 8, 2024. The double pack includes both classic games, plus a full roster of additional content and episodes including John Romero's 2019 Sigil and Legacy of Rust, a new collaborative level pack from MachineGames and Nightdive. Plus, it can run at 120 frames per second on PS5, making this a legitimate upgrade from the 2019 PS4 port.
For trophy hunters, the big draw here will be the brand new platinum trophy up for grabs. Now, admittedly, it won't be a complete breeze. You'll still need to clear all of the included Doom and Doom 2 episode packs. Plus, there are a few tricky trophies like "Untouchable," where you have to finish 8 levels under par sequentially on Ultra-Violence difficulty.
Prepare to trophy hunt in hell once again.
That said, given that you can complete any of the episodes on any difficulty you want, it shouldn't be too hard to make it through all of the gory Doom content here. Plus, the majority of trophies here are almost certain to unlock as you play the game without any thought necessary.

The original Doom released in 1993 is a different game than the new reimagined DOOM and DOOM Eternal. Since they both come from the same series, it's only natural to try to compare them. It can be said with certainty that the original Doom is harder than DOOM Eternal.
