August 2024 setsNews

New minifigures have been revealed on a 25th-anniversary video for LEGO Star Wars, possibly confirming Cal Kestis, Nien Nunb and more.

The LEGO Group’s YouTube channel has just had a new video added featuring models from the 2024 range of LEGO Star Wars sets as well as a group shot for a variety of minifigures at the end. Scanning the crowd reveals four faces that have yet to be seen in official sets, but they’re all rumoured for later this year.

These four minifigures include what is rumoured to be the last 25th-anniversary minifigures for 75392, 75396 Escape from the Sarlacc Pit and more. Nien Nunb has been teased as part of a poster too.

Cal Kestis, Young Leia and Nien Nunb all have official designs in the video and provided that the rumours are accurate, it seems likely that these are their upcoming minifigures. Cal Kestis is based on the first Star Wars Jedi game and Nien Nunb matches his appearance in the recent poster. Young Leia appears to be using the mid-legs rather than the shorter variety too.

It’s worth noting that Saw Gerrera and Fives are featured in the video as well, leaving just Darth Malak out from the rumoured line-up of anniversary minifigures.

Also featured in the video is a new Ezra Bridger minifigure based on his appearance in Star Wars: Ahsoka. This is a character that is rumoured for 75385 Battle on Peridea and though the set has yet to be confirmed, it’s an odd coincidence that an official design would appear now, months before its rumoured release.

While we’d still advise taking all rumoured information with caution, it’s an exciting time for LEGO Star Wars enthusiasts as May the 4th is right around the corner, and it would be an ideal time to reveal the sets that these minifigures are rumoured to feature in. You can find out more about the event on our dedicated page before it all starts on May 1.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
