The Hempstead House is a museum situated on the Sands Point Preserve, a sprawling 216-acre garden that includes three stunning mansions and several forested hiking trails. Built in 1912, this castle-like estate hosts cultural events and activities, as well as weddings and parties. The Sands Point Preserve is a popular tourist center offering visitors an opportunity to explore various antiques from the Renaissance era, including 16th century-old paintings.

The Hempstead House, also known as Gould Guggenheim Estate is an unbelievably gorgeous mansion located at the Sands Point Preserve in Long Island, New York.Prior to becoming a historic house museum, the Hempstead House once served as the private residence of Howard Gould, financier and son of Jay Gould, a successful 19th Century railroad tycoon and Katherine Clemmons, the wife of Howard Gould. In 1917, the Goulds sold Hempstead House to mining magnate and philanthropist, Daniel Guggenheim and his wife Florence. In January of 2023, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a guided tour of the Hempstead House and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour experience. Both my wife and I were deeply impressed with Hempstead House’s granite and limestone exterior and it’s massive size. According to our tour guide, the Hempstead House is 225 feet long, 135 feet wide and possessed 40 rooms. In addition to Hempstead’s exterior, my wife and I loved the estate’s beautiful landscaped gardens, and the superb views of the Long Island Sound that visitors are fortunate to see from the mansion. Our tour guide did a great job on explaining the history and financial success of both the Gould’s, and Guggenheims, showcased and discussed the mansion’s various rooms such as the Guggenheim bedrooms, the breakfast room and the room that features the sunken Palm Court.Due to the castle’s amazing architectural details, its picturesque settings, and position near the Long Island Sound, the Hempstead House has been featured in many prominent films ranging from Scent of a Woman, Malcolm X, and Great Expectations. When visiting Long Island, definitely make sure to visit and explore Hempstead House at the Sands Point Preserve!!!

Maybe two stars. EVERYTHING is closed due to covid. $15 to park and you can only walk around the area. All the buildings are close, only the bathrooms are open. If you do go bring a picnic basket because they don't even have a food court. Scenery is breathtaking so bring your camera its just sad that you can't go inside and take pictures.

We always love photographing weddings at the Hempstead House. Everyone is always so nice and helpful, plus the venue and grounds itself are absolutely beautiful. We love every inch of this venue, from the nearly floor-to-ceiling windows featuring stained glass (including the indoor ceremony space), the abundance of natural light, and even the lucky water fountain that is central to the dance floor. We cannot wait to photograph more weddings here, as the creativity is endless.

A gorgeous preserve to spend some quality outdoor summer time.Unfortunately no buildings were open for visits however the grounds were gorgeous and the shore line so mesmerizing. My son collected shells at the beach and he loved it! We spend some time exploring the trails and taking pictures of the Hempstead house.Simply breathtaking for history lovers.Drop in at the visitor/gift place to get an idea of the history of the place.Spend some time at the shades of large trees and have a picnic. It is a wonderful experience overall.

This past weekend my company, DLE Event Group, had the honor of providing our hybrid DJ band entertainment for a lovely couple at Hempstead House in Sands Point, NY. We had a lovely day with even better people to celebrate with. The grounds were stunning, the interiors of the castle were just magical. The staff was accommodating and just an overall truly whimsical day that will go down as an incredibly memorable day for of the course bride and groom and even us. Highly recommend you checking out this venue for any and all kinds of private affairs. Thanks Hempstead House team!

Planting Fields Arboretum is a magnificent 409-acre estate and one of the finest Long Island arboretums. It boasts beautiful formal gardens, extraordinary plant collections, rolling lawns, greenhouses, and the stunning Coe Hall mansion. The park offers something for everyone with its extensive collection of twelve gardens that can take days to fully explore.

We had a magical day at this Arboretum. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! So inspiring. Makes me want to get my garden at home in shape. I loved every moment. The greenhouses are arranged so beautifully and it’s the best arboretum/botanical garden I’ve been to in several states.

We were lucky enough to plan a visit on a warm day in autumn. We spent a few hours strolling around the lovely grounds, looking at all the beautiful trees and the gorgeous mansion. There are lots of little planted areas and paths that you can stroll. There are large open fields, and some greenhouses that you can go inside, and there’s even a little teahouse from the original owners of the mansion that is lovely and charmingly decorated. I imagine this place must get very crowded on weekends during good weather, if you can stop by on a weekday.

ESB NYC — Google review

Very pretty! Beautiful flowers and enjoyed the walk. We didn't use them, but there are several benches throughout the arboretum to sit on if you need a break.

Susan Dorrien — Google review

Beautiful Tudor style home with amazing details inside and the docents were so sweet, knowledgeable, and great with my children. They gave us such a fun personalized children's tour. The grounds were beautiful and wonderfully kept. Be sure to find the playhouse and the garden that looks like a secret garden, I felt like a kid again playing in the garden. What a special day, great people and gorgeous scenery.

Raquel Ochoa — Google review

Nice little arboretum - clean, well maintained., enough parking. Cherry and magnolias were in bloom when we went. Family friendly 1.5 mile trail on AllTrails is a good way to walk at your own pace and enjoy the outdoors.3 stars dinged as staff was adamant and incessant about needing permits to take photos on consumer-grade digital cameras. I clearly understand the need for professional photographers to take permits, but one little digital camera on the neck and you are treated as a professional - that's a bit much. More so in today's day and age when most cell phones take incredible photos. Even the immensely larger Brooklyn and New York Botanic Gardens do not have such high-handed enforcement of arbitrary photography rules.

Kundan Sen — Google review

If you want to recharge your self with nature you should visit this amazing historic park. It is Beautiful and well maintained. We went there in summer and also in fall. Each season has different beauty. It was hard to stay longer inside the green houses in summer but it was much better in fall. You can treat your self in Magnolia cafe and their Philly cheese steak was really good. Coe Hall is opened for guided tours and so many things to see in there.

We paid only 8$ for parking. unfortunately building was closed and we couldn’t not go inside, but we walked around garden and yard. Before you go there make sure everything is open and don’t repeat my mistake..quiet and nice place❤️ Not crowded at all💚💙This is one of my best gate-away places from NYC❤️

Sali Maisashvili — Google review

There is no entrance fee to access the arboretum but you need to pay $8.00 for parking. Overall, worth the visit. There are several gardens, green houses and buildings you can visit. The property is very well kept and it expands over a large area. Would recommend putting on some bug repellent.

Maria L. — Google review

A really beautiful arboretum with clean facilities and many greenhouses and garden beds. There are copper statues and fountains placed across the arboretum. Many of the paths are well kept and taken care of. Visitors have to pay $8 for parking.

Connie Koo — Google review

Great gardens and made for a nice peaceful couple of hours. Plenty of space to stroll around on paved paths and also on the lawns as well. The grounds change with each season so you will see different flowers, plants and trees thru out the year. Has a mansion you can tour, greenhouse and a cafe. You can also bring a picnic lunch and sit on the many benches thru out the grounds as well. Plenty of parking and public bathroom also. I would highly recommend Planting Fields !

Came here on a spontaneous adventure last month to see cherry blossoms and I was not disappointed. I didn't get to go inside the museum but walking around and seeing everything was more than enough for me. I felt so at peace being here. Everything was beautiful and I plan on going back soon!

Cute area for fall walk. Parking was accessible for a small fee. Very expansive with both arboretum and other walking areas.Note: the main castle requires a separate fee to enter.

This place never disappoints. Great grounds & trails. Wasn't expecting to hear music hear today, but was pleasantly surprised. The band was actually very good and not intrusive to the environment. Some of their tunes sounded like the actual artist. The band's name if your interested is Peat Moss & The Fertilizers, I was told.

Farm

Stamford Museum & Nature Center is a family-friendly destination located near an urban center in Stamford. Visitors can explore the trails and observe various animals, including otters. The museum exhibits are informative and engaging, while the observatory provides another opportunity for discovery. The site also boasts a farm and park with well-maintained facilities, including numerous hand wash stations and clean restrooms. Overall, it's an excellent place to spend a day exploring nature and learning about the environment.

This place was a lot of fun. It's a great activity that you would not expect to be so close to an urban center like Stamford. There is also an observatory here which is open only at specific times, but it offers another possibility to explore. I spent the day hiking around the premises and watching the animals. There were also fully ripe raspberries available to pick and eat right there.

Paul Gardner — Google review

Not really for adults. When was the last time you were at the Stamford nature center? Maybe as a child? It’s got a cool old mansion with an art gallery, sculptures outside, an adjacent Full farm with petting, a natural preserve watershed with trails and elevated deck, and a little bit of art and a lot of basic science. They also have a brand new “barn” area w patio that opened November 2018 for wedding ceremonies - it is very nice. and they are building a full planetarium and observatory over the next few years! Disabled accessible, family friendly. No pets. But glad I came it’s very pretty today! Will come again. Plenty of donations. Snack food at gift shop and food trucks on site. Would give 5 stars if more epic scenery for adult hikes. Great for kids. Great for indoor and outdoor events. Good for weddings.

JEREMY SAXE — Google review

The Bendel Mansion at Stamford Museum & Nature Center was the perfect place for our wedding. Every part of the house and grounds is more beautiful than the last with Italian sculptures, including a beautifully carved fountain, and of course the stunning Tudor style house. There is a large conference room to get ready, a gallery for co*cktail hour with art installations, a wooden dance floor area, and a long dining hall and atrium for seating guests at dinner. They have a great selection of furniture to start from that offsets rental costs and while you do have to select from their list of approved caterers, we found the list to be quite long and were introduced to the perfect company for us through it (shout out to Best In Gourmet!).The SM&NC team takes such beautiful care of this property and we were so grateful for their hard work at our wedding, highly recommend!

My visit to the Stamford Nature Center was truly great. The first thing that struck me was the exquisite beauty of the location. The center is nestled in a serene and picturesque setting that exudes tranquility. The well-maintained grounds and clean facilities made the experience even more enjoyable.

Great museum, farm and park. Can easily spend the whole day here. Everything is well kept, clean and beautiful. There are many hand wash stations everywhere and the washrooms are clean. Great place for children.

Vathsala Mariyanayagam — Google review

Loved coming here as a child and have amazing memories. Unfortunately, my most recent experience here with my little ones was disappointing. The staff isn’t friendly or welcoming at all. They look miserable for a place so well kept and beautiful - the only exception was the nice lady at the gift shop who managed to smile. The guest experience is so crucial in this financial climate.

Jessica Ramirez — Google review

Free admission with a bus pass or a couple other circ*mstances. Lots of animals to see, lots of ground to cover. Lovely place to pass the evening.

Gabriela Tavarez — Google review

We were very happy to discover this place. Only 15 minutes from Stamford downtown. There is a bit of everything here: I really liked the palace and the statues. The boardwalks were nice and peaceful. We met two young fawns there. Also on the territory of the nature center we saw a lot of animals: cows, goats, chickens, ponies, pigs, horses, llamas and many reptiles in small souvenir houses. And otters, they are as always, amusing and amazing. Worth a visit for sure, even without children - a good anti-stress therapy.

Curtain Call is a non-profit theater that offers a variety of musicals, plays and workshops suitable for all ages. They have an open audition policy that welcomes everyone to participate. The organization is committed to ensuring the safety of its patrons by requiring proof of vaccination and mask-wearing during shows. While food and drinks are not provided, attendees are allowed to bring their own alcoholic beverages, which should be advertised on their website.

Curtain call really has a good track record of assembling a lot of talent. Singers and musicians were first rate.

Went for a comedy show to see Troy Bond ,he was hysterical. You had to show proof of vaccination and wear a mask for the entire show which was fine but they didn't serve food or drinks but we found out when we got there that we could have brought our own beer or wine. That should be posted on the website. Other than that the show was great and the people that worked there were nice. I would definitely go back for other shows.

I recently enjoyed a phenomenal late morning, early afternoon at this treasure. If you’re looking for well marked, wide trails, beautiful scenery or a mix of shoreline and wood, this is the place for you! It’s not a strenuous hike but you can make it fairly long.Take a left onto the beach from the trail leading to the boathouse and walk west to the point. You’ll enjoy a clean beach, clear water and stunning views. From the point you’ll see Stamford CT across the sound. You’ll also see New Riches, Co-op city and some of Manhattan’s taller buildings way in the distance - maybe 35 miles. Crazy!Note that there is a paved trail...great for cyclers or those not so sure footed on gravel, dirt or sand.

Absolutely loved this park. 3 miles of paved road for bikes and strollers, as well as a couple of places where you can get to the ocean and get a view of long island sound. Its definitely most beautiful in the fall with all the beautiful trees and leaves 🍃

Absolutely stunning, beautiful views, nice trails, well kept and clean. Restrooms along the way. Great place to walk and just relax. You can also view the horses along the fence line. There is no food or drinks, so you have to bring your own, take trash with you when leave or put it in garbage 🗑️ cans. Had to pay $8.00for parking if you don't live there, but it's worth it. And you cannot bring pets, which I agree with.

What adjectives can be used that haven’t been b4 ? Stunning, gorgeous, fantastic, beautiful and you’ll end up with the treat of a beach ( a rocky beach ) , but fun nonetheless. The grounds are spectacular and they even have a cafe on sight. I definitely recommend for your biking , walking , relaxing needs

Rodino Janowski — Google review

We drove here while visiting Long Island from Delaware as we were looking for some nature. Caumset has a 3 mile paved walking path that is really nice. It takes you to the main house with views of the Long Island Sound. You can walk or bike it. There are restrooms available at the beginning/end as well as near the halfway point. We saw some birds, various butterflies, and dragonflies. There is also a cafe near the parking lot. The one area we felt was underwhelming was the walled garden. There are some nice plants but there is a lot of grass and we felt it was just okay. Still, the overall experience was fun.

Brett Skipper — Google review

Wonderful, well maintained park. Beautiful paths: one that's a straight, long walk to beach as well as paved path about 4 miles, that circles around a beautiful park.. Benches, horses, historical house that over looks the long Island sound... Plenty of nature. There are some interesting cut throughs and bridal paths. Great place for Walking, hiking, biking, cross country ski.

Cove Island is a sprawling island park in Stamford surrounded by the Long Island Sound. The park boasts sand beaches and cycling paths, as well as opportunities to spot abundant waterfowl and visit a nature center. Visitors can enjoy nice paved trails for running, walking, skating or biking with great views of the bay, big rocks near the shore, open grass fields and sandy beaches.

LaLatina EVERYWHERE — Google review

Nice paved trails to run, walk, skate, bike… on. Good views of the bay and some big rocks near the shore as well as open grass fields, and sand beaches. The water stays very shallow far out and it’s probably not the cleanest to swim in but there’s outdoor showers to wash off in after and bathrooms on site. The parking is fairly expensive if you don’t have a pass but you can maybe find a place nearby to park for free.

Trey Andrew — Google review

I truly love this beach. Its location has a lot of diversity. It’s not just a beach; there is a park for kids and bike and walking paths, as well as bbq pits. Great place to walk the dog. If you go early enough you can catch the sunrise too!

Island park in Stamford. Beach and walking trail. Places for BBQ and to enjoy picnic. Surrounded by Long Island sound. Outdoor fitness zone for exercise. The place becomes magical during sunset. Gets crowded during weekend. Facility for canoe, kayak, boarding.

Jijo Varghese — Google review

It’s absolutely gorgeous. I cut a star because when we were there in April there were no working restrooms. Anyone that visits with a family understands that is unacceptable. It’s possible that they were closed because of the time of year. No way for me to know but truly a beautiful place for the kids to run around and play

The sandy beach area is often accompanied by the presence of smooth, colorful pebbles and seashells, adding to its natural charm.

Michael Lim — Google review

Beautiful and serene place for a quiet afternoon walk. The park is well maintained except there are no restrooms. You can sit on the benches overlooking the river and have some quiet time to yourself. The view is amazing. The walking track is pretty small.

Arya Phatak — Google review

This park would be great if it wouldn't miss basic amenities: restaurant, beergarten, playground at the beach. There's a lot of unused space. Also the cycling / skating lanes have very rough and partially broken surface, so not great for skating.

Jaroslav Mandik — Google review

A very beautiful place with a paved walk and a little beach. The sand is quite rough. The price to enter is expensive: $45 for weekday for non CT resident. And you better have cash because their credit card machine doesn't work due to poor internet connection there. And if you don't pay the entrance fee, the fine is$80!

Galina Niyazov — Google review

Really private beach, clean and peaceful more if you during the week. I don't know on weekends but today, it was a really good day!

Liz Saldana — Google review

Nice place to get your steps in. Be sure to checkout the sanctuary on the opposite side of the parking lot. Also, good place to kayak. Not free in the the warm months.

Tom Cookson — Google review

Miles of neat walking and biking paths. Gorgeous views of Long Island sound. Nice beach. Convenient restrooms at either end. Needs a season pass (for stamford residents) or a day pass for non residents to enter via vehicle and park. There's a free tram that runs in the summer and takes you around the whole park if you are walking or biking challenged! Picnic benches abound. Great place for a picnic lunch.

Skiing & snowboarding area an hour from New York City, with trails for all abilities & a ski school.

i have gone to thunder ridge ski area for races, practices, and with my friends. i always have a good time because of the helpful staff and beautiful trails. the mountain is very good for people who don’t want to go to a huge mountain resort. also, it is beginner orientated but, has trails for any level of skier. sometimes there are gates set up for racers.

Maegan Mandell — Google review

I’ve been coming here for several years. It’s a great family mountain for teaching your kids to ski. A nice bonus is they have some easy beginner runs all the way from the top. The only annoying part is that after a day of skiing with my kid there is no way to enjoy a beer. They serve beer in their “bar area” but they don’t allow any kids in the bar area and they don’t allow any beer outside of it. I’ve honestly never had an issue like this at any other ski resort in the country or in NY state so it can’t possibly be a legal thing. Also the bar area has better food too. I get leaving this up to the discretion of the bartender if the place is packed but even if it’s empty it’s not allowed. It would be very easy to have a little leeway in this respect. In any case I just go to the restaurant down the road and have apres ski there but I’d be happy to spend a few extra buck here if given the chance.

Charles Grantham — Google review

I went here for my first here ski lesson. The instructor was very patient with me and I got to learn a lot. My friend who actually took the ski lifts explored the other trails really liked it too. From my experience this seems like a place where parents get the toddlers for their beginner ski lessons.

I'm a seasoned boarder and have been to other bigger resorts throughout the years, but really enjoy the smaller resorts like Thunder Ridge to be honest. The only complaint I can say about this place is that there are RECKLESS RIDERS (kids in groups) at times bombing down the trails passing little kids and other beginners with no F*CKS whatsoever. At times, one would fly pass me a few inches away, although there was ample space on the trail. If you are guilty of this....Don't be an ahole. RIDE RESPONSIBLY. If you are flying down a trail, use your brain sometimes and leave ample space for beginners and little kids. I enjoy bombing down trails too, but I slow the hell down when near people, especially little kidsThis is prevalent at ALL resorts so can't blame Thunder Ridge for it, as it can be difficult to control even with ski patrol. In all, I definitely recommend and will be back.

This resort is perfect for us. As casual boarders and parents of a 4 year old who received an excellent ski lesson, that was affordable and super fun for her, we'll be coming back regularly!

I haven't been skiing in a long time. This place is good for beginners. The people were friendly. They closed one of the ski lifts so 1 you couldn't ski on that part of the mountain and 2 now everyone is crammed into the one main or the bunny hill and there was a competition going on - on part of the hill so it became kinda monotonous.

Thunder ridge has an entire page dedicated to their "Covid-19 Prevention Statement." The entire page is an absolute lie."We believe that we can satisfy [the] need for connection and recreation while maintaining a healthy distance from each other," they say.The photos speak for themselves.Absolutely no effort made to prevent crowding, in fact the employees were all actively FORCING people to crowd closer together. Employees got upset with us when we didn't pack against other people waiting in line while trying to maintain literally any semblance of social distancing. People who requested to ride the lift solo were denied, given attitude, and forced to ride with strangers. Absolutely massive crowds everywhere. No one wearing masks.Even outside the complete lack of covid precautions, the crowd control was a joke. Constant 30-40 minute lines to get on the lift. We literally WALKED. ON FOOT. to the top of the mountain while my sister waited in line for the lift and still got to the top 15 minutes before she did.$70 for a lift ticket is laughable. We were there for 6.5 hours and managed to get 7 runs in. And a run lasts like 6 minutes. We probably spent a total of 4.5 hours waiting in line. When you show up you wait in line for a ticket even if you purchased online. Then you spend the rest of the time waiting in line for the lifts. I understand this is a holiday weekend but maybe do a little preparation? I grew up on small, local ski mountains. I know they can be an extremely fun experience. This was the complete opposite. Never coming here again. Terrible terrible terrible.

I really appreciate the amount of snow they made this year I know it was a ruff snow season. Went on March 21 and they still have spots that are 6-8 ft thick and I think are planning on going until Sunday outlasting Catamount, Mohawk, and a bunch of other mts. Even in Vermont ! Thanks again and see you next season.

We have been to Thunder Ridge many times over the past few years and have always had a great experience. I just wanted to give a shout out to Andrew. Today (3/19/23) my 7 year old daughter did a Level 2 group lesson with him. She showed so much improvement that she agreed to take a private lesson with him. He was amazing with her and had her on the chair lift and skiing down all the greens by the end of their hour together. Great instructor and a great way to finish off our ski season!

Jessica Laffey — Google review

I like the ski area, but the reservation system for the first come first serve ski lessons package is sorely outdated. I appreciate that there is high volume of requests, but you are made to leave a voicemail for a callback (at their convenience). When they do call, you have to answer because they leave no voicemails and if you call back the number that dialed you (which differs each time) no one answers and you are forced to call the general number, which as noted above is just the voicemail service. No email support, no online form submission process. After three rounds of phone tag, the lessons became full (but weren’t full after the first two rounds per their website which noted updated statuses). Process can be a little more modern.UPDATE 2/14/23: Raised the review from 1 star to 3 stars. Was able to take my child to Thunder Ridge this past weekend for a ski lesson. Hardly any snow in NY, so this was like a winter oasis. He had a great time and the staff did very well corralling the “Thunderbolts” class. I was able to use the online reservation system to book his group lesson and that worked well. I had a small concern about availability for Level 1 vs 2 (because the only available was Level 2 online for same day purchase), but the staff ask the children some simple questions to demonstrate their skills and he was appropriate placed where he needed to be (almost a first timer). Related to that, it was $132 for this experience because all except the Parent + Child session (which he is aged out of by a year) requires you to pay for a lift ticket even if you are only taking the Thunderbolt session (roped off small area, not going on the bunny hill, not going up any lifts). Same as my prior review, I understand the business reasons for things, but I would be more inclined to come back if the (more or less) $132 covered two separate days of ski lessons for my child instead of one. This doesn’t account for him needing me to be with him on any other part of the mountain (like the bunny hill), therefore I would need to also pay for a lift ticket whether I ski or not. Other than it being a bit pricey to repeat frequently, super proud of my child and the experience was much like my prior fun filled trips to Thunder Ridge. The days before children when a snow day meant offices closed early and my roommate and I raced up to Thunder Ridge for some evening fun 😀.

This place is a complete joke. They have advertised online $55 for adult tickets each and $35 for children under six. This place is the only mountain so far that I’ve gone to this season where I’ve had to pay for my 4 year old. Every other mountain I’ve gone to she was free with purchase of my ticket. Me my daughter and a friend went the other day, I paid for all the tickets and it somehow came to $180. When I asked the woman about it she said no that sounds right handed me my tickets. As we started to get the tickets on our jackets we realized she sold us day pass tickets which ended in an hour. I went back to her 10 mins after purchasing to exchange my tickets for the right tickets (twilight 4-9) and the woman told me she didn’t remember me and I bought the tickets at 2:45, not 3:45. She sat there and argued with me, after realizing she was wrong, she gave me the right tickets and I asked if there was any price difference and money coming back my way and she chuckled at me. This place is a joke and poorly ran.

James Woodward — Google review

Very good small business. Only issues are the slow chairlifts and some trails being closed even though they have snow. Come here is you are looking for a taste of older skiing. Great place for families, kids, teens, and seniors. They also have a very nice staff and good learning school. BTW the day tickets are a little overpriced at $50+.

Silver Sands State Park, located on Long Island Sound, is a haven for wildlife and offers opportunities for fishing, swimming, and strolling along the boardwalk. The beach is pristine and ideal for a day out with friends or family. It is recommended to bring sunscreen as there are no shaded areas in the vicinity. During low tide, visitors can walk along a sandbar path to reach an island inhabited by beautiful birds.

I'm not usually a big fan of beaches but this one is really dynamic and diverse. There are boardwalks over marshes, a sandspit to an island with beautiful birds on it that you can reach at low tide, and shell covered beaches. Even on a foggy day, it was beautiful and fascinating.

Katrina Sill — Google review

What an awesome park. This was and unexpected place that I got to check out because I was staying in an Airbnb nearby here the boardwalk is awesome you could walk for an hour and put in area takes you into a nature preserve. It really reminded me of my time in Florida except here there's no alligators or snakes or snapping turtles. If I came back to this area to stay I would definitely come back to this park because it's a cool Little Gym and who would have thought that Connecticut had such an amazing water view by the ocean. Not this California Guy for sure

Alex Cuevas — Google review

Unique beach experience. Worth visiting if you're in the area. Clean changing and rest rooms. Long boardwalk if you want to walk but not get sandy. The best part was the number of shells. Piles and piles of shells. Wear appropriate footwear!

Jennifer Nolen — Google review

I haven't been to Silver Sands in quite a few years, so I was pleased with all the updates that have been made with the boardwalk. I have to say the parking for handicap accessibility is still a very small area.... which is a bummer. I wish the beach wasn't as covered in broken shells/rocks. That being said, it is a beach, it's kind of hard to avoid without the town having to rake it every single day. If you're looking for a beach that is all smooth sand, this isn't the beach for you. Other than the handicap parking and the shells/rocks being hard to walk on with bare feet, I had a great day with my sister and niece's. I'll definitely be going back soon. I would like to add that they do have lifeguard on duty and that they are very strict about bringing any of those wave boards or even balls into the water. It's to keep the public safe so I understand but figured I'd give anyone a heads-up so you're not lugging something to the beach you and or the kids can't even play with if it's your intention to play with it in the water. Also, I did see signs posted that dogs aren't permitted to go on the beach.

Amanda Crisp — Google review

Silver sands is one of my favorite beaches. It has beautiful sandy spaces, is maintained well, bathrooms are clean and spacious, and you can't go wrong with the ample parking. Even on cloudy days, this is a great place to visit, especially if you like hermit crabs and birds

Caitlyn Monterosso — Google review

One of the best state parks in CT.Plenty aria for the parking.Boardwalk is very clean with butiful views and if you wizyt the place when is low tide you can walk on send bar all the way to the Island.

So we went there at 6 in the morning to watch the sunrise and it was magical 😍 I have never been any beach before. Everything seemed so perfect to me although the weather was little cold and windy.

Ummea Salma — Google review

This is an amazing park! Wildlife in the marshes, a natural beach (not a place for a “pure beach experience “ but definitely adequate), a sandbar that appears at low tide to connect to an island, good snack shack, nice boardwalks through the marsh.

Anna Livingston Adams — Google review

I’ve traveled here many times and it’s always beautiful and well-kept! The park has a wonderful boardwalk that is great for getting a lot of exercise. The views of the ocean and marsh are very photogenic while you are walking. My favorite landmark is the large exotic-looking tree growing out of the jetty (the one in my photo).

Kitten Cuddles (Sam D.) — Google review

Amazing beach. So clean, so beautiful!! Make sure you bring sunscreen and shade if you burn easy as there is no shade anywhere on the beach. Low tide exposes a sand bar path to the island. If you need a beach day you need to go here. Super easy to get to from I95 just follow the signs

One of the best state parks in Connecticut, quite underrated. To this place is beautiful to visit. Also may visit during sunset, however exit closes 1 hr after sunset, so don't get locked out.

I seriously couldn't believe I was in CT, let alone Milford. This place is gorgeous. Walking the boardwalk is like walking through a postcard. The actual beach has beautifully updated bathrooms, changing rooms, food available for sale, and full outdoor seating/benches etc.Lifeguards looked alert as well

Nick Sackandy — Google review

This was the best beach I visited in CT. Beautiful bridge walkways with restrooms, food, etc. Nice rock areas to spot wild sea life and also longgg white beaches! The south beach area has parking, pier, volleyball, and kayak rental to reach the island.Yes, there is actually an island out from the beach that can be accessed certain times/month by foot in the shallows. We went during high tide but they have a posting with detailed info and time when this can be done!

Brett McGregor — Google review

This is my favorite place to snorkel, the water is relatively calm and you are able to walk out pretty far during low tide.Cost for out of state residents is $22Ample parkingRest rooms and porta pottysFood is available and the fries are pretty good. There is a boardwalk that gives access to another beach next to silver sands as well, very easy to walk onI love it here!

Great place for homemade candy. Assume selection. IF you have a sweet tooth you definitely need to check this place out. Been in Gardner for many many years and still going strong. I've been going here since I was a child and will continue to be a dedicated customer. Definitely recommend.

Delicious, creative chocolates and candies. Friendly and warm staff. Store layout is cozy and not overwhelming but still has a great selection. Highly recommend!

One of a kind old school candy shop. Chocolate is not cheap. But the quality is incredible. I have had truffles, filled chocolates, french roll, scotch kisses. All have been delicious. These family owned and operated homemade chocolate shops are few and far between!

Lovely place with a awesome selection of chocolates and candles.

B Noble — Google review

This place is a little gem, but not so little! They pack a huge variety of candy, treats and gifts from chocolates, hard candies, mints and even some hard to find old fashioned candy. A side room features their kitchen where the elves were busy making home made candy canes this day but sometimes the smell of chocolate is dizzying! The canes were the reason we discovered this store! We got Maple, Vanilla, Molasses, and Peppermint. While we were there we picked up some cream filled home made chocolates and caramel. Trust me your will enjoy your visit!

Great assortment of handmade candies. French roll is the specialty and a nice treat around the Holidays. Prices are not cheap, but for a special treat a few times of year it is great place to stop and pick from the assortment of quality chocolates.

This is a hometown staple with reach! Every time I return to the area I drop in, if for no other reason than to breathe in the smell of this place but typically also to pick up mint patties, French rolls, or some assortment of tasty chocolates.

This show I seen at the stadium Theatre Woonsocket RI. Was absolutely fantastic 👍🏻 Best Tribute show I've ever seen!! The Beatle tribute group 1964 is something you should not miss. We watched the Polar Express in this Vintage Theater! I LOVED it and so did my kids and friends we brought. There was pop corn and drinks for kids as well as some light liquor choices for adults. Truly a step back I'm time whole enjoying the fine things of today's world. Everything was perfect!!! I recommend this place 10000times to anyone hope you all have fun!

I'm from Massachusetts We were there for an 80's rock bands, it has the vintage look, which I find beautiful! It was amazing, seat were perfect, as you go further up in seat numbers, the seats set up a little higher than the seat in front of you, you don't get the tall person blocked view! Reasonable prices, absolutely clean, the employees are helpful, respectful, I had lost my phone, and one sweet lady helped me track it down, No luck at that point, but by the end of the night she had found me with my missing phone, I definitely will be back for more shows worth the drive, and every cent spent! Thank you Stadium Theater What A Good Time!!!

My friend & I attended Gunhild Carling’s show at this theater last night. The theater was amazing. Beautiful set up. Easy to find. There was a parking lot behind the theater, but it was full; however, we were able to find street parking. There was good signage to lead us to where we needed to go. There’s a certain vintage feel to the place & I absolutely loved it. We’ll be going back to see A Christmas Carol next month! They have concessions/drinks & the staff was very nice ❤️

Always great shows at the Stadium. Our most recent experience was seeing the Disco 54 Band from NYC, and they were so good!! We hope the theater gets them there again! What talent they had! We would see them again anytime. Even though they had to be rescheduled several times due to the pandemic it was worth it.The theater handles everything well and professionally, too. Great staff, a lot of which might be volunteers. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy good shows, and not at exorbitant prices.

Denise Ackerman — Google review

Been here numerous times for all types of shows and have always had a great time. Tickets are reasonably priced. This century old theatre is immaculately maintained. The mostly volunteer staff are all welcoming and friendly.

Downtown Woonsocket has a gem in the Stadium Theatre. Beautiful interior, perfect size, great sound. I have only been here for Kinetic Synergy Dance Company performances however any show would work! Parking behind the theatre.

I loved this place! They have concerts and entertainment several days a week! I went to listen to a Yacht Rock band there called Boathouse Row, and they were OUTSTANDING!!! You can see well from anywhere you sit, because the venue is not huge. The workers there, from the ticket issuers(you CAN buy your tickets ahead of time), to the ushers, to the concession stand people were all nice. I can't wait to go and enjoy another show here again!!!

Dawn Bowen — Google review

Stadium is an awesomely restored theater. I'd highly recommend taking in any show with the addition of viewing the finely restored architecture in this beautiful space. I've gone into this theater over the years and never fully realized how unique these places were then. I know now the countless hours and care that must have taken to keep this beautiful location looking and sounding like it does. Our visit focused an a revival band who embodied the soul of the band Bee Gees.Recommend a center seat for the best view of the stage. Seats are tightly spaced, but the views are unmatched.

Great historical theater thank God they saved this place back in the 1980's from being demolished. A very classic sophisticated atmosphere, better than any modern theater could dream of recreating. Good prices for events & concessions. Overall it was well worth visiting for the Michael Franzese event!

Snoop Eastwood — Google review

The Stadium is a beautiful place! The ladies who help you locate your seat are so sweet and very helpful! The entertainment is outstanding! I used to go there as a child and it was a magical! We've been there once before the Pandemic and just about 3 weeks ago! We love it there! I would highly recommend the Stadium to everyone! You will love it! ♥️

Such a quaint little theater. We watched a private performance through a youth program. The Stadium Staff was quite helpful. Concessions were affordable. Plenty of parking. The theatre has been completely restored and has kept all of it's original artwork and tapestry. Comfortable seating and cozy feel. We will definitely be visiting for another performance.

Erin Brown — Google review

What a great theater to see any play. Today we saw A Christmas Carol and what a performance! This theater is in amazing shape. The seating is stadium style and there's plenty of room in the seat. This was our first time at a the Stadium Theatre and it didn't disappoint. If you get a chance to see a play or musical this is the place to see it. The Stadium Theatre is a Woonsocket and Rhode Island treasure.

Kevin Geremia — Google review

Amazing amazing amazing!!! I’ve seen over 10+ shows here and I haven’t been disappointed once yet!! All the artists the Stadium gets are top quality unlike other theaters in Rhode Island (Park Theatre for Example). I’ve seen everything from a Beatles tribute to a Bee Gees tribute and an Abba tribute. Though, the Stadium doesn’t only get tribute bands but they also get real original artists like Ace Frehley of KISS, Christopher Cross, & Dennis DeYoung of Styx. On top of that, the Stadium even gets your favorite comedians like Howie Mandel.Come visit the Stadium and I think you will have a good time…

The Rocky Horror Picture Show was a fabulous time. RKO Army killed it! Loved the theater. Comfy seats, spotless bathrooms, balcony seating, amphitheater layout, grand entrance. I will definitely be coming back to support them!

Fruitlands Museum is a historical museum located in a farmland setting dating back to around 1914. The museum houses an array of Native American artifacts, Shaker documents, paintings and more. The rolling views of the area are stunning with Wachusett mountain visible in the distance. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful greens that stretch for miles and miles surrounding the museum. Guests can dine and dance under a tent while enjoying bright warm light with unobstructed views of the surrounding scenery.

We had such a good time here today. The weather was perfect for walking the grounds, the staff were all friendly. We paid the extra $5 for the tour of the Shaker Museum and the Fruitlands Farmhouse, and it was totally worth it. Our guide for the tour, Amy, had so much knowledge to share. She was great!!

Great place to get some history and hiking in. Take a look at the childhood home of Louisa May Alcott and learn a little bit about the utopian movement of the 1840's at the same time. There are also sculpture and hiking trails. The views are amazing too! Need to tire out some young kids? This is the place.

Kevin Jennings — Google review

Very misleading name and disappointing experience. The 2 museums they have - an art museum and a Native American museum can NOT have the status of a museum. This is A BIG JOKE. The art museum has 3 rooms with a horrendous smell and about 5-6 contemporaty art objects. That is ALL.The Native American museum had 2 rooms with 3! paintings, 3! rugs, a few bowls and 1 boat. That is ALL.Look at my pictures. That is all you will see there. The rest of that land can be called a farm, but there are no animals or gardens. There are a few hiking trails, but to enter this so-called "museum" you need to pay at least $10 per person. I wouldn't pay it for hiking. I wouldn't pay for anything there. A misleading name, unclear purpose, strange concept, 4! people working... I really would like to understand the purpose of this place and why people would pay to go there.Add to this a location in the middle of nowhere and gas prices to get there. Worthless waste of time, money, anything you name it. Maybe views? I've seen much better views that do not require fees. The ONLY thing I liked there were 2 statues of Native Americans. They were very good, however not worth the trip or money they charge.

We have photographed several weddings at this stunning venue that's conveniently located about 50 minutes west of Boston. There are gorgeous rooms full of natural light for both members of the couple to prepare for the day. The Fruitlands Museum itself is housed in a quaint white classic New England style building, but the real star of the show at this venue is the spacious, luxury style wedding tent and the mountain view of Monadnock and Wachusett.Couples who choose to have their outdoor ceremony here will treat their guests to stunning vista views of the Nashua River Valley as they say their vows in the fresh air. co*cktail hour typically happens next to the tent where guests can take in the views and enjoy a gorgeous sunset over the mountains. This venue is part of the Trustees of MA group, and as all of their venues are, expertly operated! You will be in good hands at this venue and can be guaranteed a wonderful wedding day with an experienced team of talented folks.

Came here for a wedding. As a wedding venue, the scenery was beautiful and the dinner & reception set up (tent) was cute.It would have been helpful if there was a larger restroom, and if the wooden canopy near the ceremony area had heated lamps.

We photographed out first wedding here and it was perfect! Fuitlands has the most beautiful rolling views with Wachusett mountain in the distance. The colors were beginning to pop, and they had beautiful greens for what felt like miles and miles. As we headed into the tent for dinner and dancing, the light was bright and warm with openings all around to see the views. Fruitlands is a beautiful place to see and I hope we come back for more weddings!

We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at Fruitlands Museum. The view alone is so stunning but the day-of staff made our wedding extraordinary. Throughout the planning process, we worked with Laura who is the coordinator through Fireside. She was very easy going and helped us create our dream wedding. The event manager Shaun and attendants who worked our 10/8 wedding provided the most incredible service. They were on-top of every single detail, organized and so kind. Everything ran so smoothly and it truly just felt like a dream. We had guests rave about the service that was truly the best we’ve experienced at any wedding. The food— phenomenal. It was so delicious, all of our guests raved about the quality of the meal. We all know the couple rarely gets to sit down and enjoy their meals but we got the opportunity to sit and eat because of how wonderful and timely the service was. our attendant Shannon brought us snacks and champagne to the bridal suite and appetizers during co*cktail hour photos and worked tirelessly the whole night to make sure we had every thing we could possibly need. She was AMAZING. Her timing was impeccable and would meet us on the dance floor with a drink so we didn’t have to stop the fun. We are so grateful to the entire staff and couldn’t be happier with our experience of having our wedding at the Fruitlands museum.

Farm

Sights & Landmarks

Great farm, not only for their own produce but they have fresh pressed apple cider in the fall & apple cider donuts year round. They also sell fresh baked goods (pies, cakes, breads). Frozen meats, fresh eggs, pot pies, etc. Variety of coffee beans and products from other local small businesses and farms. It's always popular in the fall but also a great stop come tomato season!

Lull Farm is a gem of Hollis, NH. I really like their market. There is a variety of local products. I prefer coming here than going to Whole Foods. And if you have a little one like I do, there are animals and a lot of space to walk and run

Teodoro Rosario — Google review

I love this place. Friendly, variety of so many savory and tasty treats, meats, deli, baked goods along with the homegrown produce. Plenty of parking. Exit 6 off Route 3 in NH. It's worth the drive. They have apple picking and cider doughnuts, too.

Susannah Shoaf — Google review

Great selection of plants. Very friendly staff. The market/bakery is very good, they have selections from specialty breads to cakes, salads. Many things to puck from. They also have freezers with specialty cut meats, dairy items and desserts. They have a smoker located outside. They sell barbecue items its very good. They do sell out quickly though.

This is our local go-to farm. Everyone here is always so friendly. They have a good variety of fresh fruits and veggies. And I can never visit without getting honey sticks! We always find the biggest pumpkins here too!

I absolutely love this place! I drive about 25 minutes and pass many other places just to come here.In the spring they have lots of seedlings for you to plant, vegetables and flowers. In the summer they have amazing produce! Milk from Shaw farm, homemade peanut butter, local honey, baked goods, duck eggs Etc! In the fall you can apple pick here without the crowds.I believe they also have a truck come with fish once or twice a week.Beautiful little farm store With high quality products!

Rebecca Timoney — Google review

Love this farm and all of their products! They have so many delicious and beautiful options at the bakery and I love the local honey they carry! Their flowers are lovely, they have a nice selection of wine and I enjoy the fruits, veggies and salads. I make this at least a weekly stop and the staff is incredibly lovely and nice!

What a great day spent at Lull Farm! Lots to do - Sunflowers, Pumpkin patch, apple picking, animals, and the cutest store. Today was our first time here and I think this will have to be added into our annual visit. We bought the apple cider donuts and the strawberry soda. Both were delicious! A must see in fall

Lily Gillogly — Google review

The market at Lull Farm is charming. They have a vast selection of interesting apple varieties, with the most unique ones labeled to describe them. Their cheese counter also has flavors you won't find in the grocery store and they offer samples for the curious. Their produce appears fresh and the offer an array of tempting non-perishable goods. I am eager to return and try more of their obscure apples!

Chris Gilbert — Google review

Good selection of local produce. Raw milk is available here. The bakery has a good selection. Ample parking space. Caribbean jerk chicken in summer is a treat. Meat is always fresh and it is from their farm.

Jeetu P — Google review

Use to be great, now the stuff the bring in is bottom of the barrel quality. The reason I pay more at your farm is because I want better quality. Right now, I can get better quality stuff, at a much cheaper price, and any of the local supermarkets. The owner needs to stop being greedy.

Lull Farm, nestled in the picturesque town of Hollis, NH, is a delightful haven for all things fresh and flavorful. This charming farm stand has captured the essence of local agriculture, offering a bounty of exquisite fruits and vegetables that truly shine with natural goodness. The moment you step onto the premises, you're greeted by a vibrant tapestry of colors and aromas. Lull Farm's commitment to quality is evident in every piece of produce they offer. From plump, sun-kissed berries to crisp, verdant greens, their selection is a testament to the dedication of local farmers. But the crown jewel of Lull Farm's offerings has to be their fresh apple cider. With a sip of their cider, you're transported to the heart of autumn, where the flavors of ripe apples meld seamlessly into a refreshing and comforting drink. It's a sip of tradition and a taste of the region's agricultural heritage. What truly sets Lull Farm apart is the genuine warmth of the staff and the sense of community that envelops the stand. The staff's knowledge and passion for their produce make every visit a delightful learning experience. In the sea of farm stands, Lull Farm stands out as a beacon of authenticity and quality. It's a place where you can indulge in the beauty of nature's harvest and experience the true essence of New Hampshire's agricultural richness.

Michael Labrie — Google review

Just an absolutely wonderful "farm stand". The freshest fruits and vegetables (often grown themselves), fresh baked breads and baked goods, flowers and vegetable plants in the growing season, the absolute freshest seafood from the folks at The Daily Haul - just an amazing collection of foods. Need a Christmas tree or pumpkin - look no further. Open year round!

Think twice before going to Wrentham. Why I said so? That's because you will end up swiping your credit cards endlessly just because everything you see is on sale and they are such a waste not to buy at 50-60% of retail price! Visited on memorial weekends, additional 10-15% discount! Ample of parking space. Enjoy shopping folks!

Cute place to shop! Nice stores, clean bathroom facilities. Would've given 5 stars if the vendors were open. That would've been awesome! I've been here several times and each time most of the outdoor food vendors were closed

Sherah — Google review

My wife likes shopping. Not me. Unfortunately, there is no place where one can wait, no place to relax and eat. No food court. Instead of that, they put everwhere ugly containers with all kind of junk food. It smells everywhere and you have to consume it outside. Fantastic concept for hot or cold days. The designer failed to understand that people do need also something else than just 160 shops. The overall impression is not good.

Michal Cupa — Google review

Sad ,that it wasn't what it once was, granted it was a Tuesday (3-22-22) . Nothing like the old days when the parking lot was filled and you had to drive around to look for a parking spot/ space. This was the ( Barest )I've ever seen the parking lot, hopefully as Time goes by hopefully things will pick back up .

Hits and misses. Some shops were good, whilst others were lackluster. Don’t expect much service here as it’s largely grab and go. Under armour was decent, brook brothers and Columbia as well. Nike was disappointing. Best to rent a car if in a big group so you can drop your stuff in the car and continue shopping and not hurried to go back to perhaps Boston.

Douglas Seah — Google review

All in all the outlets were nice. I was super impressed how clean the bathrooms were given there was a lot of people there. There were a lot of stores to choose. I wouldn’t say the prices are lower. I had noticed the prices are the same as online or any other brand store outside of the outlet. It would be convenient if you don’t have access to the stores in the area. The Italian ice was very good my family enjoyed it.Ruby Tuesday’s… so being a chain/franchise you would think the place would be more kept up. The seats were ripped and sunken in. It has this like old smell to the restaurant. The menus were very messy as in ripped up. The condiments on the table look like they haven’t been restocked as in hasn’t filled for days. Our waiter he was fabulous so nice. My husband got a really upset stomach after eating the food. I was going to leave the restaurant out of my review but after he got sick I had to mention it. Food safety is a TOP priority and this restaurant being located in the outlets will be considered in this review. All in all. It was an enjoyable experience. Clean, the retail employees were great! We had driven an hour and a half to come and check it out for the first time.So the reason being for the four stars that are five it’s because of the restaurant. I do not take food poisoning lightly. I cannot stress enough that I hope that the restaurant management sees this and they take this into consideration so the situation can fixed.

ashley green — Google review

This is a great place for shopping. The prices are great and there are many popular brands. In addition, there's also a food court.

Vincent Wackler — Google review

We loved the food trucks and playground. Good stores, albeit just average deals. We loved that Nike was counting the # of customers in the store at one time for safety. We also *loved* that 80 to 90% of the shoppers there were wearing masks, even while walking outdoors in between stores. 100% of shop employees were also wearing masks ** EXCEPT for the staff at Ruby Tuesdays *** restaurant where *no one* was wearing a mask. Don't go there if you care about safety. For a sit-down restaurant Tavern in the Square had great food, great service and all staff wear masks, of course!

A perfect night out and shopping with my girls. We arrived at 6:00 PM and started with shopping for my girls. This place always makes it feel special. With the holidays around the corner, it’s the perfect place to shop for gifts and enjoy all this place has to offer. So many stores to choose from Nike, Polo, Burberry, to name a few. DKNY always offers many items to choose when shopping. I highly recommend this place for a fun night of shopping and enjoyment with your family and Friends. The perfect place to take holiday photos too.

6/19/23–Stopped by here today . Walked the whole complex . What’s new they added a play station for kids . There a truck that sell food as well : tacos , falafel , hotdogs , popcorn etc . There are three or four lemonade stands . I got a regular size for 7.95 no sugar . It really is straight from the lemon . I def found prices higher compared to pre-pandemic . There is an Armani store , Burberry no LV but that’s okay . I enjoyed my time here . Would prob go again before the end of the year

Marilyn MC — Google review

Great variety of stores at this outlet mall. That’s the positive part. However, the open layout, always full parking and the lack of maps and directory at the “entrance” of each section leaves the place somewhat hostile, especially in the New England weather conditions. Damp and cold seasons make the shopping very tiring. There are food trucks to help with the shopping experience, but they are probably best enjoyed during the summer months.

Sa Sh — Google review

I am a hospitality reviewer of resorts, hotels, and travel destination properties around the world. To Simon Properties, the design of your mall is nice, walking areas, plenty of parking, store variety. It is recommended to have either a food court or indoor area where people can sit down and relax, especially with very cold, very hot, rainy, or snowy days. Having an indoor sitting area would provide a greater convenience and increase business for your food stands and for the property overall. A mall of this size needs an indoor area since all stores are entered from the outside. Much of a consumer's time will be spent outdoors. You should consider posting some signs in multiple languages based on your demographics, and also have employees that speak those languages. Overall the mall provided a decent experience, but it was immediately noticeable the options that were not available. Most surprising an indoor sitting area or food court option, considering weather is an important business factor. The mall cannot reach full potential until you provide consumers a reason to visit regardless of most weather conditions, solo, couple, or family, and stay longer.

Definitely interesting outlet village.Great brands and some good sales. Some stores were outstanding with extra discounts (Nike, Crocks, Adidas, Guess, Jimmy Choo, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Carl Lagerfeld, On Fifth )Great inventory. For a Friday was great - not too busy, not many waiting lines.Couple food trucks and snack shacks are available.Bathrooms were on the clean side.

Harness horse-racing track that offers live events April-November, with an indoor simulcast theater.

Live music is SO good, had to just pay for drinks $8 each so its not like Vegas where there are plenty of waiters/waitresses walking around. Looking forward to Barstool restaurant (opening sometime in the summer) right now it's Smashburgers, pizza slice or DD depending on staff.

Steph F — Google review

There are no real table games there but there are the video versions. There are a lot of slot machines and a sports book. This can be a great place for live music. Some of the bands they are are very good. However, I have seen a band or 2 that were really bad. When the band is good, the atmosphere is fun. If they are bad, as in the video avoid this place like the plague.

This casino's okay! For a quick gamble at a slot machine or something to do on a Saturday or Sunday night or work lunch break. It's a smaller casino, but definitely has a lot of different machines for all types of people. Employees are very nice! Also you don't have to wear a mask if you don't want too, Rhode island is required to wear mask at all times now, but a lot of people at Plainridge Park wear masks and there are plenty of sanitize hand station, and the restrooms are very clean and cared for. It's a nice casino but I would rather drive the extra time to Rhode Island for the live tables and bigger casino.

Lots of fun, staff is friendly. I always have a great time here. I found the restrooms to be fairly clean. We ate a yummy meal here!

I visited Plainridge Park Casino this past week, and had a wonderful time. They still have my favorite slot game, plus quite a few new ones. I was actually able to come home with more money after having some good luck. The food court was very nice. I went to Smashburger and the food was great.

I have been going to this establishment since it opened the slots in 2015. We usually have a great time - food is good @slacks Oyster house, staff is friendly and the comps are pretty good. Today, however was less than acceptable. My husband’s players card did not work in many machines and he couldn’t get his $15 food comp ticket to print from the kiosks. When he asked the security guard, they did not know what to do. In addition, there was an elderly patron near the kiosk that also needed assistance. My husband tried to help her by walking her concerns to the player’s booth. Once he got to the booth, he had to wait in a long line before he got to the window. The cage person told him that there was nothing that could be done, but gave him $20 in free play. He then had to walk back over to the kiosks on the other side of the casino to help the lady that needed her ticket. 30 minutes later, he still had no coupon and no food. This will be our last time gaming at this casino

Anissa Zabriskie — Google review

I have not been to Plainridge in a few years, and I decided to go on 08/11/2023, and this happened. Plus, I got a new rewards card, "Penn Cash," that I didn't know about, and received $50 free slot play 2 times while I was there. I had so much fun!

Toni-Ann Francis — Google review

Not a very big casino but a good amount of slots machines. The employees are very friendly . There are hand wipes located threw out the building wich is awesome. The cleaning staff are great on the floor and restrooms. Security on the floor at all times gives a peace of mind.

Lisa Rodi — Google review

A nice slot casino. It was nice to see it so busy. The restrooms were immaculate and actually smelled good. There were many drink servers. There was never a need to get up from your machine. The stools at Plainridge Park Casino are worn but very comfortable. The variety and quality of food offerings is great. There is something for everyone. And, I had a good day, money-wise.

Kelly Higgins — Google review

Went there for the first recently and I have been to many casinos. It's just a small room to take your money. No great restaurants just small kiosk type of eating. Has one restaurant if you like fish. Worst experience I have ever had. Waste of time and money. Went there thinking gonna have a nice dinner and walk around and play some. That didn't happen we left. Don't waste your time.

Ronald Leary — Google review

Not so well as it use to be. More like very likely a rare chance to hit.Second they don't have birthday slot plays so watch out.. I drove 47 minutes to have fun thinking I be having a slot play for my birthday upwards $50.00 or something.. ends with nothing !!! Wow they take your money like nothing now.. probably going to Encore at least I was offered a $50.00 play and $35.00 a week slot play to come in.. at least over there they treat you better.Funny part haven't been there for like 3 years and they still over $35.00 slot plays.. Damm. With Plain ridge was like that.. use to be don't know what happened.. What a waste of my 47 minutes ride , Thanks guys for wasting my gas and time.

Minister Kevin Eduardo — Google review

It's only fun when your winning money. I recommend going while it's slower like week night. Busy during peak hours, and money disappears very quick. Slower you may have a chance for a few bills. Not as good as Foxwoods but to get it out of your system, they will gladly take your money. I like slots, but not that much

Joe Davis — Google review

The staff are so nice and attentive when you need something. I don't think I really go at very lucky times although I have had luck here before. It's very clean and I like that fact that it's not overcrowded. In these pictures I show some of the artwork they have a long their walls

Nature & Parks

Mine Falls Park is a vast, natural oasis situated along the riverfront. The park features an abundance of forest trails, outdoor activities, and sports fields. Visitors can enjoy fishing along the river and observe various wildlife such as birds and fish. There are porta potties and trash cans available at the entrance for convenience. In addition to the recreational opportunities, there is also a municipal park with a recreation field located within Mine Falls Park.

The park was lovely! The trails were well kept and everyone there was respectful. There was so much wildlife! A great place to birdwatch. You can even see fish in the water. I had a great time, I'll definitely be back next time I'm up that way.

Mine Falls Park in Nashua is a picturesque natural gem that offers a wide range of outdoor activities. With its extensive network of trails along the Nashua River, it's a great place for hiking, biking, and even cross-country skiing in the winter. The park features beautiful scenery, including waterfalls and wildlife. The picnic areas make it an ideal spot for family outings, and the park's history as a former industrial site adds an interesting layer to its character. Overall, Mine Falls Park provides a peaceful escape from the urban surroundings and is a wonderful place to connect with nature.

There are a lot of trails to explore! We did the trail which leads to the old mill building. It went next to the river where people were fishing 🎣 and a homeless couple had set up a tent. Porta potties and trash 🗑️ cans available at the entrance we used. Parking 🅿️ available. Municipal park with recreation field 🏑 located here as well. We enjoyed our walk. I recommend a visit!

Stephen Priest — Google review

This is excellent. Lots of trails for the curious explorer and very gently sloped main paths that feel just secluded enough. This park could do with more trash bins and restrooms, though. Anything to keep bags of pet waste off the trails would also be a massive improvement.

J. C. Huntington — Google review

Enjoyed the park, lots of walking trails and looks like a good place to fish for carp and bass. Area seems slightly sketchy which is the only reason for my four stars. However, there are lots of people who go here so it’s probably pretty safe with all the people around.

Larry H — Google review

wish i took more photos but this park had so many trails to go off and explore to! it was definitely fun with a friend plus a great place to do some cardio.

Dylan — Google review

Beautiful park with well laid out trails so you don't easily get lost. There's a convenient and pretty clean bathroom by the field. I was disappointed when I returned to my rental car to see that I received a parking ticket. I am from Florida and just wanted to enjoy the beauty of New Hampshire and the changing colors and this is the welcome I receive. I am not familiar with the area and not aware of parking restrictions and didn't see any signs with restrictions at this park. I have traveled to many, many other states and enjoyed their nature trails without being penalized with a parking ticket. I looked around and saw that no one else was ticketed. This put a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unwelcome because I had out of state plates. I will never go to another New Hampshire park again for fear of receiving more violations. The fine is $200 and there are no warning signs.

Ursula Bowser — Google review

Mine Falls is my favorite park in Nashua. Every time I go I see something I’ve never noticed before. Especially when different seasons come. It has plenty of parking and the ground is perfect for running.

Teodoro Rosario — Google review

Great place for hiking. There are few trails, and you can choose what distance you want to walk. Walking next to the river is beautiful. We did an easy walk with a baby and a stroller. It was amazing.

Shlomi Zan — Google review

I’m absolutely amazed at the amount of work Nashua city has put into this place! Paved trails make it super accessible for a stroller with a child. Quite a fun spot to get close to nature for a small family!

Peter Lillie — Google review

I loooveee going to mine falls! It’s absolutely my favorite place to go to exercise/and or walk. I love seeing all the animals. The trails are beautiful. There is all different trails that you can go on. If it’s your first time going there they actually have a QR code to scan where you can look at the entire map of the park so you don’t get lost. It’s an amazing place especially if you want to just listen to music and take in all the scenery it’s very relaxing to me and peaceful. I can always go there and just clear my mind of stress etc.

Kerrie — Google review

Very much enjoyed seeing so many butterflies & moths & beautiful plants. Staff is very knowledgeable & helpful. I had a Blue Morpho butterfly land on me & stay with me for at least 20min. Then another landed on my head & stayed for about 5min. We took my 10 year old nephew & he enjoyed it very much. Another favorite thing was the Quail birds in the habitat. They are small chubby little birds that wander all around & they are absolutely adorable! I definitely recommend a visit.

A good place to learn about and experience butterflies. The staff are friendly. The garden was very nice but small. Overall plan on spending about and hour and a half there between the garden and the display area. We went in March, there are picnic tables. Would be nice to have lunch there in warmer weather. My 3 yr old loved it. Great place for everyone of all ages.

Cute little place. It was very crowded the day we visited so it was a little claustrophobic, but everyone had a great time. The kids loved seeing all the butterflies and learning about their life cycle and seeing other types of insects as well

A little pricey for what it actually is (just one room with butterflies) as an adult but when I went on a field trip here as a kid I remember it being one of my favorite field trips and thinking it was huge and amazing so definitely a good trip for kids. You really can't spend very long here though so just depends if you have other things to do in the area or if you live nearby. I loved getting a caterpillar hatching kit there as a kid!

Erika Schoaf — Google review

A really cool place to visit, especially for kids. Has so many butterflies. Its maintained well. People are nice and friendly.

Tejas Shinde — Google review

This is a great place for a short trip with young kids. Inside the butterfly room the climate feels tropical. You can get up close to watch butterflies doing their thing. Some will probably even land on you. There are also a few other small critters. Expect to spend 5 - 10 minutes in the butterfly room. You can stay as long as you want, but after 5 - 10 minutes you'll probably have seen everything that there is to see. There is an outdoor picnic area and some wetlands (not affiliated with the Butterfly Place) right outside. We saw some snakes, turtles, and frogs outside after our visit to the Butterfly Place.

Absolutely delightful way to spend a few hours enjoying butterflies. Perfect family destination for fun and science about butterflies. Various different species flutter around the beautiful landscaped plant life, its like a mini rain forest under a dome. The staff was kind and patient with the little visitors in our family.

Chuck Paone — Google review

A wonderful experience to get up close with butterflies and observe numerous species. They do a great job teaching and making it accessible for all ages and it's easy to lose track of time sitting and watching the butterflies go by. A great place for families.

I have never been here before this weekend was my first time and it was really nice. There was a ton of butterflies flying around and some were even landing on me. My kids absolutely loved it as well.

I don’t often use the word “magic” but this was legitimately a magical experience. I took my wife and 2 kids (8 & 4 y.o.) and we hung out for over an hour. Even though it’s a small footprint, it does not disappoint. Only issue we ran into is the kids got hungry and tired. My wife and I could have sat their for another hour.

Okay Stadium staff are very friendly here some of the food is good from the concession stands there are a lot of nice things to see around Stadium after or before the game we have been a few times 4 games and a few concerts they put on decent shows up here the different events they put on up here are very well done you will enjoy your trip up to here there's a lot to see in Massachusetts it's always fun up here

Ted Kidwell — Google review

The venue is going under some renovations, likely to improve. Well connected with public transportation when there's an event! There lots of clean restrooms, and the services are very good. The acoustics for a concert are good, but not great. Looking forward to go back

I delivered a load of office chairs to the Stadium. I was amazed by all of the work that was being done. Pouring concrete, building new rooms, and restaurants. Truly amazing. People were so friendly even though I was wearing my Bills hat and my truck had a Bills fan license plate. It was a great experience for me.

Got to experience a snow game at Gillette, truly an incredible experience. Have been to three games now and really enjoy the stadium, but crazy as it sounds seeing it in the snow made it so much better.Gillette is a unique NFL stadium as it’s located pretty far from a true urban area. You can really see this sitting in the nosebleeds, just forest in all directions. This means it can be challenging getting out of the area after the game if you drive. There is a train for $10 that goes here specifically for games and concerts from both Providence and Boston, this is personally my favorite way to get to and from Gillette.Another cool aspect is the lighthouse, you can apparently pay to go up and see the field from that vantage. Additionally, Patriot Place Mall provides a lot of dining and shopping options for before and after the game. Definitely grateful to have had some memorable experiences at this iconic stadium!

If you’re a revs fan the stadium is too big, and we hope to move to a new venue. Overall though, this is a really good stadium with a whole shopping complex centered around it.

Averse Pepper70 — Google review

Wicked nice stadium. Beautiful restaurants and "town" outside of the actual stadium with a large variety of shops. The price for food and beer was absurdly expensive at Gillette. Clean facilities.Went for Monster Jam, loved every second of it. This stadium is MASSIVE and has ample parking (price varies depending on the event being hosted)

One of the best experience watching Ed Sheeran perform with John Mayer. The stadium was full with 70 thousand people and were crazy the whole show. The staff in Gillette Stadium gets kudos for their friendly nature and helping everyone out with any questions. We'll organized parking, food and everything. The whole show was great experience.

This place is absolutely wonderful. It is very clean and the people who work here are so kind. Only downside about it is that the food is hella expensive! Overall amazing! I came here today to watch my first Patriots game and it was awesome.

This was a beautiful gift given by the Kraft Foundation, we had such a wonderful time cheering on my Patriots and enjoying the TB12 ceremony!!! The seats and overall experience was something I never thought I would get to do!! Thank you Patriots for making this southern lifelong fan so happy!

Jessica Heinz — Google review

Billy Joel & Stevie Nicks we’re amazing!! The whole show was awesome and they played all of the hits. Though, there was a huge problem with Gillette that should be spread to everyone if they buy tickets up in the 300’s. The view of the stage is nearly blurry and the screens don’t even help. Whole show it rained and everybody’s view was getting blocked as people kept walking up and down the aisle stairs. The pictures may look not that far away but it really was. Another complaint is that we tried to find our parking spot and an hour later we found it. Multiple security workers told us to go all different ways and one of them told us to go walk on the side of the road. The last complaint is that they didn’t even use the brand new big screens they just added in. Everyone was complaining. Felt like a wet dog after the show too. Bought food inside the venue and it was surprisingly cheap. $15 for a burger and French fry meal. Definitely a good venue to attend as long as it’s not raining and you gotta have good seats. Will be returning for Metallica next year, I hope I will be pleased….

Luca DePalo — Google review

Have been to a few Patriots games the last few years. Some recent parking changes have made getting into Patriots games somewhat easier. General parking (across Rte 1) is now free! This makes getting into the stadium much quicker. They also now have delayed exit lots where they PAY YOU to park there (but you're not allowed to leave until 90 minutes AFTER the game ends). I would actually do this next time - a $75 Visa gift card is worth it to me.The stadium itself is very good. No obstructed seats, and the suites are pretty roomy. Food in the suites is somewhat average but hey, you're in a suite being served food and drinks with a private bathroom, so who's to complain about average food. Entry through the stadium gates is simple - just scan your e-ticket and you're through. There is always ample stadium personnel available to help you and they are always VERY friendly. The lighthouse just opened and for $5, you can go up and get a great view of the field and surrounding areas.Patriot Place is filled with various restaurants and shops (plenty to do especially if you're waiting to leave from those delayed exit parking lots).

Frank Lukovits — Google review

Real nice stadium great views all around. No issues getting down near field for pregame warm-ups. Traffic to and from stadium not the best because you're on route 1 with limited access to get to the highway. Felt safe. All around good experience.

Excelente place to come with your family. Depend of the game, tickets are a little expensive, but the experience specialty with kids. I highly recommended. Great and very easy access to parking lot. I recommended at least you come to a New England Patriots game and a New England revolution soccer game. There is a lot of cleaned bathroom, a lot of places to buy food, all in good quality. Highly recommended a+++++++

Have been to this stadium multiple times for Patriots games, New England revolution soccer games, including my first ever concert! We saw Ed Sheeran play here on his Friday night stadium tour of North America. The sound was amazing I cannot believe that it was the first time I ever saw a concert here at the stadium.

Matt Greil — Google review

Gillette is a great place to see Taylor Swift because Taylor Swift is epic and her production is fantastic. To that extent, my experiences there have been great. But the parking and road management leaving is absolutely stupid, and really badly designed. I'm pretty sure it is a safety hazard to funnel thousands of people exiting the main entrance up a stairwell (to the shopping area) to cross a road packed in like sardines. Thankfully no one fell, but the stairs in a crowd like that is just not safe and I'm pretty sure that has got to be some kind of code violation. It took 45 minutes just to walk across the street. Leaving the parking and getting onto the road was okay once we reached the car, but again they shut down any turns on the road for at least five miles if not more and it's bumper to bumper the whole time because no one can exit that road. It's the stupidest set-up imaginable. But, for the rare occasions Taylor performs there, I'll deal with it. There is literally no one else on earth I would endure the Gillette exit hellscape for. Obviously they should put in pedestrian bridges or tunnels to cross over/under the road to the satellite parking across the street. It's truly the stupidest stadium design I have ever seen.

Teri Humphrys — Google review

Nice venue for a concert, though the sound was actually kind of s*%t--not sure if this was because of where our seats were. We were in section 129 and sound was very fuzzy. Bummer. Very easy to get into and out of. I expected it to be worse getting out. We did notice that people who paid $50 and $60 for parking in the private lots (gas stations, etc. along Rte. 1) had a longer walk to the stadium and back to their cars and still had to deal with traffic on the way out, possibly even more than those of us coming out of general parking. Save your money and use general parking.

Jennifer — Google review

Game was good seats are good, however if you have knee or hip problems and you want an elevator good luck, elevators are locked and you have to walk a 1/4 of the stadium to get to an elevator in the club section.

Robert Burnish — Google review

Went to a concert at this stadium. Although it was raining on the day we went the stadium was very nice. Lots of places to buy drinks, treats, and concert memorabilia. Easy to get in and out with lots of staff and state troopers to guide us along. You have to walk to and from the parking areas but it wasn't too far to go. At the end of the concert, the state troopers closed off part of the double highway. There were 5 lanes all going one way, so leaving was not as difficult as I thought it would be. I'd definitely like to go back someday.

Linda Berry — Google review

The last two times I came to the Patriots game I had really great seats! but too bad they lost both times! but other than that it's always so fun to tailgate before the game, if you don't tailgate then you can walk around the outside shops. There's so many different things for you to do with your children if you have children & or go on a date night.

Laura La Rosa — Google review

Able to go to Gillette for the first time. Stadium is beautiful and all the staff was incredible. Well run machine. Only negative for us was the no cash/ visa only. It's understandable with sponsorship ties. Seating, food, and everything was great. People who sat around us were super. Not one bad thing for the day.

Technology-rich museum dedicated to the history & memorabilia of the New England Patriots.

My husband was born and raised in Boston but this was our first time visiting his home since we’ve been together. I surprised him with tickets to The Patriots Hall of Fame and it was the most amazing experience for us.There was a greeter upon entering who was so helpful. He encouraged us to watch the historical film that was about to start in a few minutes and gave us some background on the exhibits in the meantime (you really do have to watch the film- it’s powerful). It was fun and exciting for us to talk to him as he was thoroughly educated on the exhibits but also showed genuine interest in sharing his knowledge with us. You can tell he is a true Patriots fan! We loved it.Throughout the Hall, there are interactive exhibits and an extensive collection that walks you through the entire history of the Patriots to the now. You will leave with so much more than you expected- it’s truly inspirational and motivational. It was the highlight of our trip. I wouldn’t skip taking the time to visit this place.I took tons of pictures but I’m only adding a few to this post because you really need to experience it for yourself. :)

Wonderful cemetery with, among other headstones, many famous authors buried in one section. The landscape is sprawling, very peaceful place to be. I spent a few hours here and would love to return - I did not see it all.

Stopped in on a road trip from Delaware to Maine. Beautiful scenery, a fitting resting place for such literary giants. It's worth a stop.

Brett Skipper — Google review

We really enjoyed our visit to Concord but in general, we found signage throughout all historic sites to be lacking. It took us a lot of time in the cemetery to finally locate authors ridge. The cemetery is obviously quite old so walking is not the easiest. It is also very hilly. It would be great if there could be better signage, so that people did not need to wander through the cemetery in search of authors ridge. The actual viewing of the graves was very moving.

Fran Keal — Google review

Really well maintained historical cemetery. Visit Author Hill and take your time to see the many historical figures resting here.

Jess McConnell — Google review

From a literary standpoint, there may not be a more important cemetery in the US. Author's Ridge contains the graves of Thoreau, Hawthorne, all of the Alcotts (including Louisa May), and Emerson within a stone's throw.

Jason Macey — Google review

The cemetery was quite beautiful and very well kept. Be sure to visit the author's ridge. The graves of Alcotts, Emerson, Thoreau and Hawthorne are along the ridge.

1-2 hours for the visit. A great way to learn about the history surrounding the town and its famous authors. They are experts and have tons of cool extras that you'll miss.

Amazing tour through Concord's History. A wing dedicated to the Shot Heard Round the World and an amazing walk through the Civil War Era. I learned a lot about the famous abolitionists of the Era.

The Concord Museum is a superb display of comprehensive local history—as far back as the indigenous tribes of the Musketaquid land, to the founding fathers of Concord itself, and its well known contemporaries. Profound artifacts piece together this fascinating history in a really well established walkway that travels through this small museum. Scenes display life in Concord in the 1700s, with rooms decorated as they would have been—even a recreation of Emerson’s studio. It’s beautiful, their collection is outstanding, and I love the small size, which aids in feeling connected with these objects of cultural heritage. Friendly staff and an overall wonderful experience.

This small but superbly curated museum covers Concord history from the earliest human occupation at the end of the last ice age, through the heyday of the indigenous population and its end with the arrival of the Europeans. It also reviews the experience of Blacks in Concord. Thus it gives a nuanced picture of the town's history while giving due prominence to its role in the Revolution and to its illustrious literary community.

Peter Czipott — Google review

Somewhat mixed emotions. Lots of relatively new exhibits with amazing items. Heavy emphasis on women and african american slavery, as well as a few families from Concord. "Presentism" in Interpretation is a serious issue, because facts matter.

If you are looking for a place with rich American Revolutionary history, this is it. The exhibits were engaging and informative both about the indigenous peoples of the area and the Minutemen who fought for our freedom. Plus a planetarium and space exhibit for astronomy buffs. When I went with a group they had very knowledgeable docents in each room who knew when to explain things and when to hang back and let learning happen naturally. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to kill an afternoon.

Jake Sweeney — Google review

The Concord Museum is a lovely museum and well worth the visit. The general adult admission is $15, but there are discounts for seniors, children, and active duty also get in free. The staff was very nice, informative, and available for questions and additional history information. Not only does the museum cover Revolutionary War history, but also reference the early Native Americans that lived in the region and had some examples of their wonderful pottery and clothing. It was interactive with audio sections, a live video sketch map of the Revolutionary War highlights, and a small hidden section on some of the first free blacks in the area who fought in the war. Abolitionists were also covered here and this area also led to Ralph Waldo Emerson study and other fascinating history. I highly recommend it. You can also walk across the street and visit the Ralph Waldo Emerson home right after like I did to get the full experience and more information on his history!

Arrived before noon . Not too crowded . Lovely view of THE pond. Swimmers w life preserver floats swimming length of pond . Nice walk around snd followed signs for Thoreau cabin . Some slight uphill grade . Signs providing information about where house stood as just stones outlining where it was. All people here very respectful and spoke softly. Nice children’s storyboards along path w colorful educational pages to read. Across street is a replica of Thoreau’s house with period furniture. Statue of Thoreau also. Gift shop small yet many nice choices . No line but only allow set number of people inside to maintain social distancing. Films to watch in Visitor Center. Paid to park .

To the people that left the pile of chicken bones by the rock wall at Walden Pond today, you are not very considerate. Or possibly just don't care. You probably will never read this. But I wanted to let you know everyone around watched a group of 5 geese begin to try and eat them...I am an animal lover. So I intervened, wrapped up, & tossed your trash for you. That could have possibly killed or hurt these geese. They were very mad with me, to say the least. They all tried nipping and attacking me for stealing their well earned feast! 😤We had a great time otherwise! We love Walden Pond on weekdays. Especially during after hours (6-730pm.) Free parking after 6pm on weekdays in the on season. 8$ day parking for MA residents. Lots of parking too! Though it fills up fast on the weekend.Walk down or around the pond a bit for your own private stretch of beach. Though this place is always pretty crowded, it's a great spot for swimming, sunbathing and hiking. Especially for open swimming. There is a lot of that there. I brought my 25 month old. The water was so warm and the perfect temp for younger kids to stay there all day (July 29 2022.)Wicked rad spot!Green pond pics are from 8/21/22, I just added them to my review.

I had the chance of visiting this amazing pond that ticked all the right boxes. It was not only perfect for swimming, but also impeccably clean. Surrounded by lush trees and vibrant greens, the setting felt like a serene oasis. There were numerous hiking trails available, catering to all levels of expertise. The water was delightfully fresh and cool, providing a rejuvenating experience. I highly recommend this pond for anyone seeking a refreshing and tranquil getaway.

This is a great place for any easy stroll and beautiful views both adored by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Thoreau - you can visit the small cottage where arguably the American conservationist movement was born to protect such beauty.this is a “kettle hole” or pond formed by the retreating glaciers 10 to 12,000 years ago. You know if you’re interested in that sort of thing :-) the lake is 108 feet deep and 61 acres of area, now stocked with trout for fishing and boating enthusiast.easy access to the park from the convenient parking lots

2021-12-31 the pond, beautiful with its reflections was mesmerizing. However some part of walk was fenced narrowly, hard to accommodate two-way foot traffic.--- a year agoSerene, tranquil, beautiful

30$ for parking for anyone from out of state and 8$ for MA residents. Guess they don't want people to come from out of state. Took the hike to the original site before we realized that the reproduction was right in the parking lot. Nice walk, but disappointed that it was just some stones. The museum was small but interesting. The restrooms need a deep cleaning. The pond was very pretty.

One of the coolest stops on the most epic road trip was Walden Pond, where I immersed myself in the world of Henry David Thoreau. This place, immortalized in Thoreau's work, "Walden," is a sanctuary and bucket list experience those seeking a deeper connection with the world around them and history lovers.Henry David Thoreau's teachings on simple living and the importance of nature still resonate strongly today. His timeless words remind us to slow down, simplify, and find solace in the natural world. Visiting Walden Pond, I was reminded of the profound impact this place had on his writing, and how it continues to inspire us all to appreciate the beauty of the natural world. In our fast-paced lives, Thoreau's wisdom is a gentle nudge to cherish the simple moments, like the ripples on the pond, the rustle of leaves, and the songs of birds. If you haven't visited Walden Pond, I highly recommend it for an escape that will leave you feeling reconnected with nature and inspired by the words of a literary legend.Walden Pond State Reservation is a 335-acre state park and recreation site managed by theMassachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The reservation was designated aNational Historic Landmarkin 1962 for its association with the writerHenry David Thoreau(1817–1862), whose two years living in a cabin on its shore provided the foundation for his famous 1854 work,Walden; or, Life in the Woods. TheNational Historic Preservation Act of 1966ensured federal support for the preservation of the pond.

Tours & special events in the heirloom-filled home where "Little Women" was both written & set.

As a die hard Little Women fan, it was so special to visit Alcott’s home with no one other than my first intro to her books, my mom. This place is just lovely. Every single staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Our tour guide, I believe their name was Hannah, was so so patient, beautifully passionate about the subject, and didn’t hesitate to answer questions. I love how the tour incorporates everything from Alcott’s history to the 2019 film adaptation. The exterior is also very picturesque and the gift shop is honestly worth the stop. A gift shop employee even helped my family and I with directions and locating the free Concord shuttle! This place met my expectations and transcended them. It’s also just a short, maybe fifteen minute walk to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, where Alcott is buried. Oh and PS: if you’re taking public transit from Boston, just catch the train into Concord, saves a lot of confusion :)

Em Avendano — Google review

Grounds are very authentic with apple trees and other low trees where staff allowed some teens to cling onto and sit on and relax . The flower patch for each character in Little Women adds a cute touch . Lots of blooming flowers. The Alcott fathers’ Unitarian teaching building stands maybe 50 feet to the back of the Alcott house to the left. Fees for entry of tour where volunteers provided oral history of buildings and family. Main House is clean and with period decor. Cute gift shop -which you can enter without paying for a tour-not overly highly priced and variety of local merchandise and lots reading/book material. Seems more volunteers are needed to keep up the outside -grounds and buildings- however. Staff all pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful and seemed very happy to be there. Highly recommend.

I don't know how to relay it all. Five stars doesn't do it justice. Granted, Little Women is my favorite book of all time, so I'm a bit biased.Absolutely beautiful, perfection. So well preserved, the amount of original items owned by the family and the state they're in is mind-blowing. To see it all in person created so many connections and realizations, absolutely priceless. Our tour guide, Nancy, was as sweet as could be. She made an effort to engage my somewhat bored 13 year old son. I could tell she was there because she loves it, it wasn't a "job", a true fan recognizes another.I wanted to buy everything in the entire gift shop. Fortunately, it was surprisingly affordable so I was able to get quite a few precious mementos.100% recommend whether you're a fan or neutral and know nothing of Louisa May Alcott. If you haven't read the book, it'll make you want to.My only wish or request would longer/private tours. I absolutely understand the time constraints and I think it's probably plenty for many, but I wish I could have had more time in each room to soak it all in. But I'm still so grateful, and I gained so much. Also highly recommend Sleepy Hollow Cemetery after, where you can visit the graves of the entire family!

This was the center of our trip. Everything else was planned around seeing this. Such a great tour and experience. All the ladies were so friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide, was exceptional. I wish I could remember all their names! It was for my daughter’s birthday. It was wonderful. The rest of Concord was gorgeous and full of more history. Definitely recommend!

Certainly worth a visit if you love literature. It was inspiring to learn of their history and see the very rooms and things the family used, their principles and thought processes. The marvelously tiny desk on which she wrote her masterpieces. The only negative thing was the actual Tour Guide herself. She seemed a bit short tempered and did not like us to look at rooms at our own pace or even walk across to another part of the room. Like someone mentioned she treated is like 5 year Olds. Also when we asked for an extra activity set since we had 2 children we were told only one activity set could be given...

We visited this amazing place as part of our research of my husband's ancestors. In the mid 1660s John Hoar owned this property and built the house that was eventually renovated by the Alcott family. He was a bit of a hero for his time. It was very interesting coming to the property with a different set of history and learning all about what the Alcott family did with the buildings after 1850. The tour was very informative. Having the house filled with their actual belongings made it all that much more interesting.

What a wonderful visit! Your tour starts in the old schoolroom with a video. It covers a little history and a neat tour of the house from Louisa's perspective. It's great for those who don't know a huge amount about Little Women as it gives you a starting point and also shows some highlights in the rooms you could miss. The tour was fantastic- our guide was so passionate and full of little side facts which really brought the history and story to life! There's a great shop too!

Natalie D — Google review

So many things about this visit were wonderful. My husband and I learned so many interesting things from our very knowledgeable tour guide and thoroughly enjoyed the many original pieces in the home as well as how many of the original features of the home were preserved or beautifully restored. The tour started with a video on the school house and then continues one through the house. The gift shop if full of a variety of nice things if you’re looking for that. There were a few things that I believe would improve the experience. Our tour guide was pretty uptight. There were rules about the tour (don’t touch ANYTHING in the house and also NO PHOTOS) which should have been communicated before entering the first room (a poor woman on our tour got snapped at in the first room). We were moved from room to room very quickly (our tour guide said it was because of Covid restrictions) but it meant that we did not always have time to actually look at anything or read all of the information plaques in the room. As we couldn’t take any photos, this prevented our having a full experience of the house. I wonder if having a guide stationed in each room to give a talk about the room and also watch over the items would be a better setup than having a guide. That way people could move through at their own pace. Thanks so much.

My friend loves Little Women so we couldn't pass up a visit while in the area. It was a nice video and little tour with guide sharing the history. No indoor pictures allowed :( They have a sweet gift shop on the grounds with lots of her books and other gifts.

A very informative and engaging experience. The staff are very friendly, inviting and extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter. Very willing to take extra time and answer questions. Lots of fun. Our guide Megan was fantastic. Great gift shop as well. The town center is a great stop nearby where you can find the cemetery with Author's Ridge. Beautiful busy little town.

Living my dreams...walking where literary giants walked, peering out the same window as my hero did when she wrote many amazing tales. The guides were so knowledgeable and detail oriented, teaching me facts about the family I never knew. It was everything I dreamed it would be....this is a MUST do if you are in town!❤️

My husband and I were able to visit Orchard House for the first time today and it was so incredibly wonderful and special. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by such a sweet staff member who gave us instructions, got us checked in for our tour and kicked off our time there up at the school with a short video and gave us some great information the schoolhouse and Bronson Alcott. There was an area to sign a guestbook as we arrived as well and it just made it feel a little more special. (I saw several other reviews with complaints about the little video in the beginning but I thought it was cute and reminded me of historical/educational videos I watched in grade school.) Our main tour guide that showed us through the home was an absolute treasure and the highlight of our time here. She was so passionate and loving in the way she spoke about the Alcott’s. As if she were an old friend of theirs. She even spent time at the end of the tour speaking with me, sharing her feelings on Alcott’s work, Little Women, the movie adaptations, etc. and asking my opinions and feelings. It solidified all of my feelings in the importance of Little Women—sisterhood, womanhood, connection. I already felt overwhelmed with emotion moving from room to room in the home of someone who created work that has felt important to me through most stages in my life, but to have someone who expressed such thorough care throughout the tour really tied it all together for me. Everyone there continually thanked all of us for coming, expressed how happy they were to have tours and interest in the home. But I must thank you all for such a beautiful, wonderful experience. It was such a gift. I recommend it to anyone, especially fans of Louisa’s.

This visit was so special! Everything inside is exactly like it was when the author lived there. Our guide was so passionate about Louisa and her family and she shared a lot of interesting stories about them and the house. Photos inside are not allowed but you can buy postcards at the store. The store has a lot of cute stuff to buy as a souvenir. I got the Little Women Cookbook and it was great. Make sure to buy the tickets online before going there. Totally recommended.

We came to visit the Minute Man National Historic Park and found this along the way to the North Bridge Visitor Center. This house is preserved so well from when the Alcott's occupied it. Almost all of the furniture is original. It made me want to read Little Women again! The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The little gift shop was cute.

A place of great history. Concord is such a place of history and art. The tour started with a 15 minute video performed by a woman who has often portrayed Louisa and she was outstanding. Out tour guide was more than exceptional. Her love for “Little Women” was infectious. So much that I may break down and read it. I love the interaction here of history, culture, progressive thought and the arts. Louisa’s story should inspire everyone. Thank you to all involved who made our experience memorable.

Dan Hegsted — Google review

it’s been a dream of mine to visit Louisa May Alcott‘s home in Concord, Massachusetts. Our recent trip gave us a few hours to make this dream possible. We purchased the tickets online. We were told that the tour would take approximately 45 minutes. We were able to walk the grounds before the official tour began. we found the organization of the tour itself to be rather disorganized and confusing. Much of the time was spent in the schoolhouse space watching a video which was in essence a video tour of the house and background information about Louisa herself. It was fine, but that is not exactly what I was expecting as a tour. We had a group of approximately 25 which was split up into two sub groups. Again, this was done in a fairly unorganized fashion. We went through the house with a tour guide who was competent, but did not necessarily inspire. Visitors are not allowed to take photographs inside the home which is completely understandable. It was exciting to see many of the Alcott’s family artifacts, because 80% of what is inside the house was there when she lived in it. The most moving article was the crescent shaped desk, where Louisa wrote her Little Women book. There is a small gift/bookstore at the end of the tour. The tour was definitely worth it, but I feel that it could have been much better organized. The signage was not clear, nor was the information on where to go when we arrived for the tour, leading to lots of confusion and mixing of groups, etc. If I were the manager, I would spend a few moments trying to find ways to organize visitors so it does not seem so Lackadaisical.

Fran Keal — Google review

This is a lovely place to visit, especially for any fan of Little Women or Louisa May Alcott's other books. There is a small but quaint gift shop where tour tickets are purchased and tours start at the school building (looks like a barn) that sits beside the house. No photos allowed in the house, but postcards are available to purchase of most rooms. Highly recommend.

Parking at the visitors center seemed challenging when I arrived, I drove around and finally found some metered street parking. Apparently, they validate parking in a ramp behind the visitors center. There was also a large surface lot barricaded off for some reason. They offer a free walking tour of Suffolk Mill, a $12 canal tour, a free boarding house museum and $6 self guided tour of Books Mill. Trolleys run to the major sights. I struggled to get an overview of what "Lowell" was and the major sights. It would be nice if they developed a "What to see" in 2-3 hours, a half day and full day, recommendations like many of the National Parks have.

My friend has a little restaurant in the street next to the park if you get a chance to try Jimmy's halal chicken the foods great and Jimmy's a big hearted hard worker worth the trip. I've seen him feed homeless people out of his pocket and his chicken is different than anything I've tried you'll walk out smiling and full.

Stopped here without really knowing what to expect. The ranger was very helpful and we were quite surprised how long we stayed in the end. If you’re into old factories it’s quite cool. Rather empty in mid-October, apparently in summer there are boat and tram tours, so that’s probably a better time to visit.

The park consists of several buildings that were restored. You learn everything there is to know about both past Lowell and the different periods the town went through. The canal tour was really nice and I'd recommend taking it. The guides were all very helpful and are ready to tell you all about the town.

Being out on the Pawtucket Canal, seeing the stone walls and mill buildings that line its banks, learning how the water powered the mills and the history and current state of the canals was most interesting. And all of this in an urban setting! Highly recommended!

The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University is a 281-acre garden and nature reserve that is home to thousands of trees and plants, making it a great place to spend a day out with the family. The park is well-maintained and has many paths that are fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. It's also a National Historic Landmark, designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead.

I visited the Arnold Arboretum parks to spend some afternoon time before late lunch. The weather was pretty warm but had constant breeze to cool off as I walked in the trail. Many of the trees had labels that provided explanation of their origins, so reading them while walking made it feel the time was passing extremely fast. Because of previous commitment, I had to cut short of the trip but the short period that I was there, I really enjoyed my stay. I will definitely make another effort to come back in the future when the weather is cooler.

Best place in Boston! The Coolidge Corner Theatre, an iconic establishment that opened its doors in 1933, boasts a collection of indie and art-house films, as well as sing-alongs and other events. This independent cinema is a perfect date idea for couples who want to enjoy a variety of movies together. Its lineup includes new releases, classics, and cult favorites. The theater offers spacious seating that is extremely comfortable and the venue is clean with adequate space between seats.

I came all the way from New York to see Rocky Horror last night. And oh my god. I am SO thankful I chose this theater. This theater is GORGEOUS. The staff are so friendly and attentive and will make sure you're comfortable. Sparkling clean bathrooms, reasonable priced refreshments, comfy seats. Not to mention the character the theater itself has! I absolutely loved the vibe here. My friend and I are already planning on coming back if Rocky Horror plays again next year. So worth the 6 hour drive!

One of our favorite places to catch an indie flick in town. An historic an beautiful theatre, they run special film series, and the occasional crossover author reading from Booksmith across the street (I’ve seen John Waters, and Werner Herzog speak here in the past). It’s become our go to theatre for every new Wes Anderson movie- and you’ll find their schedule full of art films, foreign language, and independent cinema releases. Lots to do, shop, and eat in Coolidge Corner- so make a whole afternoon for it. Located on the C Line of the Green Line, it’s also easily reached via bus from Allston and Brookline Village.

The Coolidge Corner Theatre, long an institution for its curation of interesting film an cinema is even more essential now in its programming in a world in which streaming services openly proclaim “90 minutes or less” or “60 minutes of less” as the right timing gates for engaging in great film. There are some films that deserve the kind of focus, concentration and engagement that you only get when you invest the time to watch closely. The Coolidge Corner is best in the metro at curating these experiences through selected new releases, film festivals but most important classic films not played elsewhere. I’ve been seeing films here for years but never appreciated it more than today.

The John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site is the birthplace and childhood home of 35th U.S. President John F. Kennedy. The visitor center has exhibits about JFK's youth and his political career, which culminated in his election as president in 1960. The house museum contains personal items from the Kennedys, including furniture, artifacts from his presidential campaigns, and photos of him with family and friends.

My first visit to Canobie was during Screeemfest! Parking is easy & free - if you arrive slightly early you'll be parked pretty close to the entrance. Some lines for rides like The Yankee Cannonball were 45 minutes plus. Even though we didn't get to do as many rides as we were hoping, we had an awesome time & there was so much to see. At dusk, the views over the lake are incredible. We were blessed with an incredible sunset. Lots of spooky decor around the park - we really enjoyed walking around taking it all in. The lines for the haunted houses were crazy so we chose to skip it. I was surprised by the food & drink prices. They are reasonable compared to most parks. A co*cktail with a souvenir beaker was under $20 ($15 if I remember correctly), turkey leg was $13, & huge loaded baked potatoes were $9. We were all very satisfied with the food - it was filling & delicious. We had a great time at Canobie & can't wait to return!

A very nice family amusem*nt park that has rides for everyone in the family. To small kiddie rides for the children, to family friendly rides and all the way up to thrill rides, this place has a nice mix. It also has a small water park included with admission in the summer (although gets very packed on hot days) and water rides, plus some shows/other entertainments. Their Halloween event is always a blast with haunted houses too.

The owner of my workplace was generous to treat us to a picnic and day at Canobie! We had a great time.I have been coming here since I was young. It’s very clean, and not too big. They have a water park, but that was way too crowded for us, sadly. That’s ok though, because we were able to cool off on the flume ride and the Boston Tea Party. They have plenty of benches to sit down and of course the people watching is always entertaining. I’m not good with rides, but my husband had a good time! My son is autistic, and we weren’t sure how well he would do. He tried the skateboard ride, but it was a little too intense for him. There are a lot of options for calmer activities. The food choices were pretty much standard to any amusem*nt park. I was very happy to find a place for alcohol. There aren’t a ton of options, but they have beer located outside the Boston Tea Party ride in a cool looking old style pub, and inside the water park. They also offer AC inside some of the arcades, which was definitely needed as it was very hot that day. I had a great day, and slept like a rock that night!

What a blast ! Had a great time ! Plenty for young kids to do! Dedicated splash pad area, really cool water park for kids and probably the best lazy river I have ever been to. My kids (age 1 & 4) had plenty of options of things to do. The water park was my favorite, on hot days nice to be in the water around noon to 1

What a fun experience for families!! There's something for everyone! From crazy roller coasters to cute little toddler rides! You can spend the whole day here and feel energized! Lots of restaurants and food options... essentially your basic amusem*nt park food.. cute souvenir cups for ice's and drinks.. the kids had a blast! It's a short drive from Boston so it's convenient for people visiting the area.

Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire holds a special place in my heart. Having visited as a child, I'm delighted to see that it has maintained its charm and beauty throughout the years. The park's impeccable upkeep is evident in the well-kept flowers that grace its walkways, creating a delightful atmosphere. Now, as an adult living out of state, I cherish the opportunity to bring my children, aged 8 and 10, to Canobie Lake Park, allowing them to create their own cherished memories. The park's waterpark is a huge hit during the summer months, providing a perfect escape from the heat. However, with the availability of season passes, I've noticed that the park can become quite crowded at times. The long lines near the entrance during exit times, especially for simple treats like apples, popcorn, and cotton candy, can be a bit frustrating. I personally experienced a wait of over 30 minutes. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall experience and the joy it brings to my family are well worth it. Canobie Lake Park remains a treasured destination for both nostalgia and creating new memories with loved ones.

This place is great for kids. The lines are usually very long for the adult rides so if you go you should make a day of it to get the most in (if that's your thing). The other attractions are fun and plenty.

Awesome place to visit. The water park portion is really fun. There is a crazy water activity place with waterslides and water guns, etc. So much fun!The amusem*nt park rides are great. Awesome view from the Ferris wheel. Roller coasters are a lot of fun. Other rides as well. There are lot of good options. We ended up getting Mexican food.Plan a day of it. There is a lot to see and do. We were there all day and that really wasn't enough time. Next time, we'll try the rest!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Canobie Lake Park Theme Park with my family, and it was an experience we'll cherish for a long time. The park catered to all ages, from toddlers to teens, and even adults, ensuring that everyone had a fantastic time. The variety of rides was impressive, with something for everyone. The little ones were thrilled with the toddler-friendly attractions, while the older kids and adults enjoyed the more adrenaline-pumping rides. One of the highlights of our visit was the flexibility to bring our own food and water, especially for the kids. This is a thoughtful provision that not many places offer. However, if you happen to forget, there's no need to worry. The park offers a wide array of dining options, ranging from vegetarian to non-vegetarian dishes. And for those who fancy a drink, they even serve beer to lift your spirits!I highly recommend planning your visit on Fridays or Saturdays. The park hosts a spectacular fireworks display and dance party after closing hours, adding an extra layer of fun to your visit. You can check the schedule on their website to plan your day accordingly. In conclusion, our visit to Canobie Lake Park Theme Park was one of our best family outings. It's a place that truly offers something for everyone, making it a perfect destination for family fun. We can't wait to go back!

We spent the day here, we enjoyed both Castaway Island and the amusem*nt park. One thing both my wife and I noticed, the lifeguards were extremely attentive, very active and moving around, constantly scanning the pool. They had a lot of staff, and all we encountered were friendly and helpful. The value for the price of admission was incredible. The park and the bathrooms were very clean and well kept. Sometimes these places can look faded and worn but we were both impressed with the overall look. There is a good mix of rides for ages 4-16. We would recommend stopping here for a great day!

This park is impeccably clean! I mean, spotless. Not even a stray bottle cap on the ground. The bathrooms are spotless. The cleanest amusem*nt park I have ever been too. The lines to rides are long, but move fast. The staff, primarily teenagers/college students, are the sweetest most helpful people! With their energy, you can tell they love their job! I can't wait to go back in October!

One of my favorite dates to date. Downside were the long lines. We did ScreamFest and purchased the express passes. $25 to knock out 5 haunted houses in an hr. Worth it considering the lines were so long others were likely waiting the hour to 30 min each. We went on 3 rides had dinner walked around watched the freak show for a bit and then went through the haunted houses. Definitely cannot wait to take the kids. One of the coolest things though, these parks have a fast lane for disabled individuals. Make sure you check with customer service!! If you have someone who physically or mentally cannot wait in lines but enjoy the rides they can get in pretty quickly. Just make sure the attendant sees you. ❤️❤️

The State House is a grand, circa-1795 building where the state legislature meets. It has monuments, free tours, and more.

Beautiful historic building, AND there is an app called NPS App, and it's is the official app for the National Park Service in the USA with tools to explore more than 400 national parks nationwide. Find interactive maps, tours of park places, on-the-ground accessibility information, and much more to plan your national park adventures before and during your trip. You can use this app to walk the freedom trail and listen to a nice man retelling the story. Very easy to follow.

Marvelous piece of architecture. Beautiful...This place can be spotted in Boston by the gold gleaming dome roof which stands out amongst the buildings. It also falls in line of freedom trail.Magnificent, truly amazing and beautifully well kept. I immediately knew I was going to like Boston, and I wasn't wrong. There are multiple historical buildings around and I truly enjoyed the sense of history there was throughout the city. It's really nice to see historical buildings amongst the modern architecture.

A majestic structure, the only drawback of which being that there is so much to see that you will be easily overwhelmed if you are not prepared. You can bring a map and tackle this place yourself, and be much culturally enriched for such an experience. Nonetheless, I recommend a guide (tours are free) to take you through the symphony of wonders displayed, from a lusciously exuberant and ornate all made of Italian marble in the nineteenth century, to a recently renovated, airy room filled with hundreds of flags.

The Massachusetts State House is a beautiful, iconic building with a fascinating history. When you're spending time in Boston Commons, it's worth the walk up the hill to see the State House up close. The history of the dome is fascinating, and (yeah, I'm just going to say it) if you're a fan of The Departed, it's fun to check out the building. Spending some time visiting the Massachusetts State House during a visit to Boston is well worth it.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Boston, definitely, I say most definitely take time to visit the very historic State House. You will not be disappointed. The staff here are super professional and friendly. I recommend you set aside a few hours to take it all in, so many statues, murals and history to. The architecture is amazing and the garden is very touching. Paying tribute to those who made our great nation what it is today. Definitely recommend for history buffs, children age 7 and older. There are several floors to be soon. Bring your camera 📷 and comfortable walking shoes. There are tours offered as well. Take advantage of this opportunity to see history.

The Massachusetts State House is a beautiful and historic building that is home to the Massachusetts General Court. The building is open to the public for tours, and there are many things to see and do inside. The State House is located in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston, and it is easily accessible by public transportation. The nearest T station is the State Street station on the Blue Line.

My 36th State Capitol building to visit in the past 4 years...and one of the most lovely! Be sure to visit the state library and walk past the doors to the President of the Senate's office, as they both have gorgeous stain glass.

Beautiful historic building with real gold on the top. Paul Revere had heavy influence on this place. It’s a part of the Freedom Trail.

Definitely a great state house with tines of history, artifacts, and interesting designs. The state house is probably worth four stars but both the extreme interest the Senate and house have around fish--and the unique eye-level tradition in the senate--make this state capitol one of the more interesting capitols.I highly recommend taking a tour with a tour guide. Our tour guide was nice and she provided a lot of information. The tour is free and lasts around 30 to 45 minutes.

Massive marble finish for the interior which it’s classic. However, the lumens really need improvement since the lightings are so dim in here. Beautiful classic architecture building to visit. It’s an iconic landmark in Boston.
